G was patrolling the place, as he always does, with his arms crossed, still thinking about how he snapped to Khan a few hours ago, when he suddenly stopped mid-air to think about that whole moment.

G: "Why is this thing bothering me so much… I'm a person like every other, i have the right to get angry… i stood up against Mr.Khan, just like Ms.Nori told me to do… why do i feel so bad then?"

As he was talking to himself, he heard someone approach behind him.

G: Groaning in annoyance and turning around "What do you want now, J-"

G stopped himself when he saw, V with N and J.

G: Widening his eyes in shock "F-friend V!? Why.. why are you with N and J?"

V was rubbing her arm nervously and staring down at the ground with a very guilty expression.
J answered the question instead, putting her hands on her hips and having a confident expression.

J: "Because she's not on your side anymore, idiot."

G: Backing away slightly in horror "T-that's impossible! Friend V would never do that.
She said that we are friends, i saw her crying out of desperation to stay with me."

J: Smiling and speaking in a mocking tone "Of course, because she's a softie when it comes to you, but, she's still a disassembly drone, which means that she prefers killing worker drones instead of helping them, that's why she rejoined my side.
Did you seriously think that she actually redeemed herself? Pfft! She was just pretending to like the heroine role to be your good old pal again."

G was devastated by the news and felt like he could cry after being betrayed just like that.
He looked at V and spoke to her.

G: "V? S-s-she's lying, r-right?"

V: Still looking away "No… J is telling the truth…"

G: Tears start forming in his eyes

V: Glancing at G, looking desperate "But, please, listen to me for a moment, y-you can join us, but, you're not forced to kill."

J: Glancing at V with a confused expression "What? That's not what i planned."

V: Looking at J with an angry expression "Shut up!"

G: "There's no need to say more, V… just, don't ever try to talk to again."

V: Flying towards G "Wait!"

Before V could get close to him, G flied away as fast as he could.
V hid her face in her hands and started crying, with N coming closer and patting her back gently with a sympathetic expression.

V: "What have i done…"

J: Rolling her eyes in annoyance "Well, it was your decision, blame yourself for this."

V uncovered her face and yelled at J in anger.

V: "It's your fault! I could've continued living on G's side and maybe i would've gotten used to not hurting people, but noooo! You had to come and push me until i was forced to rejoin you!"

J: Looking uncaring "Hm… Yeah, maybe you're right, but, can you blame me? I was just doing my job."

J then floated closer to V

J: "JcJenson's guide says that if one of us start growing empathy for the worker drones, then we have to do our best to get that person back on our team and if that doesn't work, we follow plan B."

V: "Which is?"

J: "…Killing said person."

V: Widening her eyes in shock "Excuse me!? You don't seriously want to kill, G, right!?"

J: "It's not something i want to do, but, i have to.. no, we have to, me, N and you.
And don't try to convince me with the usual excuse that 'the company isn't watching our moves', no, they're not, but, they will send people to check on our progress and they can't land here and see one of us act like a child and saving these inferior robots!"

V: "…You fucking-"

V tried to attack J, but, N wrapped his arms around her, stopping her just in time, while J kept a nonchalant expression.

J: "Sigh… N, take her to her landing pod, she's too agitated to work tonight."

N: Struggling to hold V "I'll try..!"

Meanwhile, G was still flying away, he had his eyes closed while crying, since he was struggling to accept the truth of the situation.
But then, he suddenly stopped to look at his surroundings and realized that he was in a part of copper-9 he had never seen before.
He tried to get back to the city he knew, but, to no avail, he quickly gave up and hid inside a nearby forest, he sat down, leaning on one of the trees, he hid his face in his legs while hugging them and returned to cry.
As he was doing so, he heard someone stepping getting closer to him and when he raised his head to see who it is, he was met by a male worker drone with orange eyes and brown smooth hair, wearing a orange construction worker suit and hat and brown shoes, staring at him with wide eyes.

???: "Oh my, you're… the hero of copper-9? The real hero of copper-9!"

G: Wiping away his tears and forcing a smile "Y-yes, it's me… t-the great hero of copper-9…"

???: Looking concerned "You don't look so good man, are you okay?"

G: "I'm…" Looking away "I'm just a bit tired…"

???: "…Uhm… well, would you like to stay in my town? Maybe i can make you a tour of it, so you can take your thoughts out of your mind for a little while."

G: Slowly glancing at the worker drone "…Sounds.. good…"

G stood up, still looking sad and teary-eyed, but the idea of doing something to distract himself sounded great to him, so he started following the worker drone, staying next to him.

G: "So, what's your name, mister worker drone?"

???: "You can call me, Tim."

G: "Okay, Mr.Tim…"

Tim: Chuckling "Oh, you can just call me, Tim, no need to a fancy, mister, at the start."

G: "Okay… Tim…"

G was expecting to be brought to the usual bunker with a giant door to stay protected from enemies, but, he was shocked when he arrived in front of an industrial factory that was rebuilt from inside to outside to be a well-covered and lively town.
He stared at it with his mouth open, as his previous thoughts were all obscured by the sight of the magnificent place.

Tim: Smiling amusingly "I knew you would react like this, this is probably the best living place this planet has to offer."

G: "I…" Looking at Tim with wide eyes "H-how is this even possible!?"

Tim: "Well, in short words, this used to be just an abandoned factory with just a few people living inside, including me, until nearby colonies saw an opportunity and we all worked together to turn a depressing building into a comfortable place where more than 5 colonies transferred in it."

G: "Wow, this is just amazing, Tim, you're literally living in luxury." His shock turned into worry "But, what if the bad guys attack this place?"

Tim: "The murder drones? Don't worry, every wall and ceiling is highly reinforced, not to mention the number of armed men we have outside and inside."

G: Looking relieved, but, also serious "Phew… Well, I'll still do my best to keep this beautiful town safe if it ever gets attacked."

Tim: "Of course, we just need you and we're good, hehe.
Come on, let's not waste any more time, I'm sure everyone will be excited to see you."

G and Tim walked towards the building until they reached the entrance where they met by a large metal door, a glowing sign above it that wrote "WELCOME TO METAL TOWN" and two worker drones at the sides of the door, who were wearing a military uniform and were holding a rifle in their hands.
The two armed people looked surprised and slightly excited to see G visiting the town, but they quickly composed themselves and the one on the right opened the door, before speaking to the murder drone.

???: "We wish you a happy visit"

G: Smiling cheerfully "Thanks, mister worker drone."

When the door closed, the soldier worker drone on the right looked at his friend on the left side with excitement.

???: "Dude, i spoke to G and responded to me back!"

??: Also looking excited "I heard it, i envy you so much!"

Meanwhile inside the town, Tim was guiding G through the massive building and both quickly noticed the amount of people taking photos and selfies with the famous disassembly drone while still keeping a fair amount of distance to not be an annoyance.
This motivated Tim to make this tour happen even more, because he felt good at being in all those photos that will definitely be posted on Dronernet.

Tim: "Let's go, G, i know the perfect place that i can show you first."

Tim brought G to a very large and spacious room, the floor was covered in snow, there were various benches scattered around the place, a playground built at the top-right corner and a fountain filled with frozen water was sitting at the center of the room.

Tim: "This, is the town's central park.
It's not the best-looking thing in the world, but, we're trying to think of new ideas to decorate it."

G: Looking around the park with wide eyes "You guys built an entire park? This is so cool, Tim, i don't think that you should add more stuff, this is already perfect."

Tim: Glancing at G with an amused expression "Well, you can say it to our mayor, or president, i don't know what she likes to be called honestly."

G: "Really? I'd love to meet her and express my love for this place."

Tim: "I'll see if she has the time to do that."

As they were talking, someone from behind ran up to them with a pen and a piece of paper in his hand.

???: "G! G!"

The two turned around a bit confused and they were met by a kid who couldn't stay still from excitement.
G smiled, immediately understanding that this must be a fan.

G: "Oh, hi, little worker drone."

???: "H-hey, sorry to bother you, but, can i have an autograph? Please, I've been waiting for so long for this day."

G: "Of course you can, there is no problem."

The kid handed the pen and paper immediately and G began writing his autograph.

G: "You know, sometimes i wonder how i even got this famous, i mean, it's my first time coming here, how does everyone know about me?"

???: "Because everyone talks about you on social media, like a lot!"

G: Looking at the kid pretending to understand "Oh, right, that makes sense."

G then leaned his head over Tim and whispered to him.

G: "What's a social media..?"

Tim: Whispering back, looking slightly confused "It's a place where you share photos, videos and other stuff…"

G: "Thank you..."

G leaned away and returned his focus on the kid to give him back the signed paper and the pen.

???: Widening his smile "Thanks, G, you're the best."

The kid then walked away.

Tim: "Well, that was quick."

G: "Yeah, i know how to deal with fans, don't worry."

Tim: "Hm.
So, i guess we can continue the tour now?"

G: Looking at Tim "Correct, show me what this town has to offer."

The tour continued, Tim brought G to various places of Metal Town, like: the large theater, the colorful arcade, the magnificent museums and the storage…… Every room was shocking for G in it's own way.
Right now, he was walking next to Tim on a hallway, looking very excited where he will be brought next.

G: "So, where are we going now?"

Tim: "Hm… well, i basically showed you anything, but, i can take you to our mayor if you're so determined to meet her."

G: "Oh, I'd love to."

Tim: Walking towards a door with a sign attached to it that said 'mayor's room' "Great, because we're already here.
I knew you'd say yes, so i just brought you to the mayor's room confident of my choice.
Wait a moment, please."

Tim knocked on the door.

Tim: "Miss?"

The mayor responded with a slightly annoyed voice.

???: "Is there any problem?"

Tim: "Uhm… there's someone here who would like to share a few words with you?"

???: "Ugh… Fine."

Tim opened the door and let G walk inside, where he was met by a woman with a dark-blue hime cut, yellow eyes, rectangular glasses and a black jacket, who was sitting on a chair reading some papers, while resting her legs on top of her desk.
The room was quiet messy, with closets and drawers semi-opened and full of other papers and other things, like trophies and weapons, along with some empty boxes scattered around on the floor.
The mayor spoke up without even looking at G for a second.

???: "I hope you have a good reason to be here-"

She instantly interrupted herself when she looked away from the papers and saw G standing in front of her, she threw away the papers she had in her hands.

???: "Holy shit-!"

She composed herself and tried to look professional.

???: "H-hi, G, what a surprise seeing you here."

G: Taking a step forward "Hi, Mrs.mayor, i really wanted to meet you, because i wanted to say that this town is fantastic! There's so much stuff and it's like, really cool."

???: Adjusting her glasses "Huh… yeah, thank you really much, we spent a lot of time to built this entire thing and i really appreciate you coming here for a visit, uhm… nice to meet you too by the way."

The mayor stands up and offers a handshake, G walks closer to her and shakes her hand.

???: "Anyways, you can call me, Alice."

G: Raising an eyebrow "Alice?"

Alice: "Uhm… yes, is there something wrong with it?"

G stood there in silence for a moment, his smile faded, as he tried to think of something.
After a few second, he answered the question.

G: "Oh, absolutely not, it's just that name sounds, so familiar…"

Alice: Looking confident "Pfft! It's probably just a deja-vu."

G: Pretending to understand "Right, it's just a mental illness, i should get checked by a doctor."

Alice: Raising an eyebrow in confusion "A deja-vu isn't a mental illness."

G: Looking nervous "Huhhhh…"

G grabbed Tim by his arm and walked out of the room.

G: faking a smile "It was nice to meet you, Mrs.Alice, but justice is calling, bye!"

He closed the door after that.
Alice crossed her arms and slowly shook her head.

Alice: "Crazy to think that he is the hero of copper-9."

Tim freed himself from G's grip and looked at him surprised.

Tim: "Whoa, calm down, man."

G: "Sorry, it's just that i didn't want to look dumb in front of the mayor, i have no idea of what a deja-vu is."

Tim: Chuckling "Aw, it's okay, i doubt she would've cared."

G: Looking relieved "Yeah, but, i wanted to play it safe of course, hehe… Though, i wasn't joking when i said that i have to go."

Tim: "It's understandable, you have a job to do, you can go."

G: Fidgeting with his fingers "Uhm… could you take me to the exit? I don't remember the way."

Tim: "Of course i can, follow me."

G's break to visit metal town gave the opportunity to N and J to attack a few colonies in peace, all while V sat in her landing pod all alone in the pilot's seat, regretting her choices in silence, but, while she was doing that, someone kicked open the pod's entrance, which scared her slightly, but, her surprise turned into annoyance when she saw J and N stepping inside while holding various worker drones arms and legs.

J: Smiling widely "Hey! How's my favorite co-worker doing?"

V: Rolling her eyes "Co-worker, seriously? You don't even consider me your friend anymore?"

J: "Of course not, silly, it's just that 'favorite co-worker' sounds cooler than 'favorite friend', you know?"

J and and N sat down on the floor and put the body parts down.

J: "I wanted to apologize for what i did, so i brought you some delicious food that we can all eat together.
Come on, sit next to us."

V pouted and hesitantly sat next to J, before taking a chopped off arm and drink the oil inside it.

J: Drinking oil from a chopped off leg with satisfaction "mmm! Damn, these worker drones taste way better than usual, am i right, V?"

V: "They taste the same as every other one, it's always been like that."

J: "You're right, i was just trying to cheer you up a bit."

V: Raising her voice slightly "Well, saying random things isn't going to work, you know?"

J: Widening her eyes in slight surprise "Whoa, chill out I'm trying my best."

V: "More like your worst!"

J throws the empty leg away and looks at V, annoyed by her response.

J: "Jeez, what happened to you? When we first landed here you were so energetic and happy, i can't believe that G's situation made you like this, you look depressed, V."

V: "I'm not depressed, i already accepted that G isn't the same anymore, but you're making everything more difficult."

J: Rubbing her forehead and lowering her head looking stressed "Sigh… i swear when we return to earth after finishing this mission I'll ask JcJenson's workers to delete your memories."

V: Looking angry and slightly shocked "Oh, you will not do that."

J: Looking at V "Yes, i will do that, because you can't continue working in this state."

V clenched her fists, feeling the need to punch J in the face, before N stood up and held his hand in front of them.

N: Looking concerned "Can we just stop this entire argument, please?"

J: Looking at N "Stay away from this, N, it doesn't interest you."

N: Looking at J "No, you have to leave V alone, J, she's clearly stressed and everything that you're doing is not helping, just give her a break already."

J huffed, before standing up.

J: "Okay okay, you're right, i guess.
Let's go outside, i need to tell you something."

N: "Yeah yeah, I'm coming."

J walked out of the landing pod and shut the door.
N looked at V, who just sighed at the scene.

N: "I'll try to keep her away from you, okay? Just try to rest these next few days."

V: "I will, don't worry…"

N: Forcing a smile "Good to hear, I'll leave you alone now." Picking up a chopped off arm from the floor "I hope you don't mind if i take one of these."

N walked out of the landing pod, leaving now V alone and with lots of food that she was staring at, but, curiosity got the best of her, so she stood up, walked closer to the door and leaned her head on it to hear what J wanted to say to N.

J: Sounding serious "This is the plan, we split up and attack colonies alone instead, this way we can speed up our mission and G will struggle a lot to stop both of us in this way."

V's eyes widened in horror, but, she continued to listen.

N: Sounding tired "Right now? Didn't we do enough for tonight?"

J: Raising her voice in slight anger "Yes, right now, how are we supposed to eradicate an entire planet if we keep killing one colony every night? It would take forever!
Come on, let's go, N."

N: "Fine, fine…"

As V heard the two fly away, she leaned her head away from the door and began to panic.

V: "Oh god, what do i do now!? I should just stay here and do nothing, but, i can't let G deal with them alone, it's gonna be impossible for him to save every colony and he'll so guilty! What do i do?"

V thought about it for a second, before shaking her head and confidently making a decision.

V: "Ugh! J can go fuck herself, i need to find G and tell him what's happening."

Looking determined, V ran out of her landing pod and flied in the air in search of her best friend.
Meanwhile, G himself was writing some autographs to some fans living inside of a small bunker he found while trying to find his way home.

G: "And… here you go, little worker drone" returning the autographed paper to a kid.

???: "Thanks, G, you're the best-"

The kids, along with their parents who were watching the scene in the distance, frowned and looked slightly scared, which confused G quiet a bit, until he turned around and saw V behind him.

G: "Sigh…" Looking at the kids with a reassuring smile "It's better if you guys and girls enter inside the bunker now, I'll take care of this."

The kids listened and did just what he said, everyone in that colony entered inside the bunker, before they shut down the entrance.
G's smile faded as he looked at V with an annoyed, almost frustrated expression.

G: "Whatever you want to say, make it quick."

V: Speaking fast and slightly panicking "O-okay okay, so basically J and N want to attack different colonies but to make it harder for you they went in different ways a-and it's impossible for you to stop them alone and-and-"

G: His annoyance fades away and Gestures her to calm down "Hey, calm down and let me understand.
J and N split up to attack more colonies at once?"

V: Nodding fast

G stayed silent for a second, processing the gravity of the situation, before he started panicking too.

G: Putting his hands on his head while his eyes widened in horror "That is terrible! I have to go now!"

V: "W-wait, can i help you?"

G stopped himself and looked at V, he still hated her for betraying him and he was even thinking if this entire situation was just a trap, but, he chose the risky option.

G: "I- Uhm… Sigh, fine, fine, i go search for J and you find N."

He then flied away to stop J.
V smiled determinately and felt happy to temporarily return to G's side, even if it meant having to attack one of her friends, N.
It didn't take long for G to find a destroyed bunker isolated in a forest and when he entered it, he noticed that the oil stains were all fresh, which confirmed that it was attacked very recently.
He walked inside the building to search for any survivors and it didn't take long, because in one of the hallways he saw a kid on the floor, whose legs got crushed by a large, fallen piece of roof.
G ran towards the boy and crouched down to see if he was actually alive, which luckily he was, since he raised his head with all his strength to look at him.

???: Feeling hopeful "G-G… h-help-"

G: Holding his left hand relieved "Phew… you're alive.
Don't worry, little worker drone, I'm gonna search for help, please resist for me."

???: "I-I'll-… try…"

G flied away through a hole on the roof and headed straight back to metal town, he landed in front of the entrance where the guards were still standing, they didn't notice G's panicked state until he ran up to them.

G: "I need help, i found an attacked colony a-and there are injured people!"

The two worker drones immediately understood the gravity of the situation, but they kept a firm look.
They took a step forward, before the soldier on the left spoke up.

???: "Take us to the building."

G nodded, before flying in the air and guiding the two soldiers to the destroyed bunker.
The two worker drones held their weapons when they arrived to the building, G floated down a bit to speak to them.

G: "Try to save as many people as possible, I'll go find the one that did this."

???: "Received, good luck, hero."

G smiled and nodded, before flying away in search for J.
He flied around the unfamiliar place for a few minutes, before he found not only J, but also N, who were both fighting V in the air and they were clearly beating her.
The three stopped fighting for a moment, J and N stood next to each other, while V was standing in front of them, breathing heavily and looking tired unlike the other two murder drones.

V: Staying in fight position "I… I'm not giving up so.. so easily…"

J: "This is just stupid, V, you can't continue like this just for G's sake."

V: "I don't care… your words won't affect me a second time…"

J: Raising an eyebrow in amusement "Mhm, surely they won't-"

J was interrupted by G suddenly charging and punching her in the face.

G: Looking angry "Found you!"

J: Rubbing her head in pain "Ugh… i should've expected you."

G: "V told me about your plan, you and N are not-"

J: Interrupting G and sounding annoyed "Blah blah blah, you good we bad, i know that V told you everything and I'm not even surprised honestly.
I don't feel like fighting you, so let's just all forget about this situation already, how about that?"

G: "No, you won't hurt innocent people and get away with it."

J: Rolling her eyes "Ugh… you're so annoying-"

G charged at J, gripped her neck and pinned her on the ground violently, which surprised her, along with V and N.
G kneed down on top of J and started punching her in the face repeatedly with no sign of stopping, looking like he was absolutely tired with J.

G: "You… you killed innocents…! you tried to kill friend Uzi…! you tried to kill me…!"

J didn't say anything and just stayed still, staring at G in pain, before he suddenly stopped and his expression softened.
J weakly laughed while couching oil.

J: "He.. he… what? Are you.. feeling bad.. for me, now…?"

G stood up, looking looking more and more conflicted every second.
V and N landed behind him and he quickly turned around, no one said anything, causing G to fly away to escape the situation.
N walked towards J to help her stand up, while V followed G, luckily he didn't go anywhere, he was just standing there in the air with his arms crossed and deep in thought.
V approached him and put an hand on his shoulder gently.

V: Looking concerned "Are you okay, G? That reaction earlier was unusual… it's fine if you felt bad for hurting, J."

G: "It's not fine… i shouldn't feel bad for hurting her, she's a bad person, it feels wrong- no no, it is wrong!"

V moved her hand away from his shoulder and stayed silent for a moment, feeling bad for him, until she thought of something and she floated next to him and looked at him with hope in her eyes.

V: "Maybe it's your memories returning? You feel bad, because you're starting to remember that we are your friends.
J, N… Me."

G: Looking away from V "I doubt it…"

The two notice N and J flying away above them, which made V's concern return.

V: "You don't have to think about them now, you did enough for nothing, I'll take care of them."

G: "…No, there is still a lot of time until the sun shines, i have to stay alert."

V: "It's not necessary, J and N don't hunt the entire night, they'll probably do nothing, but mess around for fun.
I'll still keep an eye on them, so you don't have to."

G: "…Sigh… fine…"

G uncrossed his arms and looked at V.
His voice still sounded serious, indicating that he still didn't like V's presence.

G: "Let's go then.
Do you remember the way? Because i sure don't."

V: "Uhm… yeah, i think so."

Meanwhile N and J were talking to each other while returning to their landing pods, J was hugging herself and looking sad, while N was trying to support her.

J: "This is all so stupid, N, i don't even know what to say."

N: "Come on, J, don't loose hope now, everything's going to get better."

J: "Better? How can it be better when our group literally split up? G is literally a lost cause and V seems to care more about him than the company at this point."

She then looked at N with a sharp stare.

J: "And don't you dare leave me too."

N: Shaking his head "No no no, i would never do that, I'm gonna stay loyal to JcJenson just like you."

J: "Hm, you better."

After a few minutes, V and G returned to the abandoned city they know.

V: "Finally, i was starting to think that we genuinely got lost for a moment."

G: "Yeah, me too."

G put his hands on his hips and looked at V.

G: "So, i guess we're just going to separate ways now."

V: "Yes, just one question first." Rubbing her arm nervously while looking down "Do you forgive me for, uhm… betraying you? I-i mean, I'm back on your side again, so it was just temporary."

G: Staring at her sharply "Hmm… i guess so… I'll think about it."

V: Glancing at him "Okay, i understand… see ya."

V turned around and flied away, leaving G alone.
As he was staring at her from the distance, his visor suddenly glitched and he felt a bit of head pain, his expression hardened and he rubbed his head.

G: Groaning in pain "Ugh… that was weird… i think I'm malfunctioning, i should go to a doctor."

G flied towards Uzi's bunker and landed in front of it, he wasn't eager to see Khan again, but, he had to get checked from a professional in some way.
