Before he could finish, a loud crash was heard nearby. Demi ran back to the window and looked up at the tall building across from him.

Fire was bursting out of the side of the building, pieces falling from it. It was going to hit someone.

Demi quickly flipped out the window of the old building, ran to a woman distracted on her phone with AirPods, and moved her out of the way of falling cement.

Demi: Hi. Good music?

The woman just started running away, screaming.

Demi: You're welcome! Ugh...

Then, a man in a blue suit was falling right above Demi. He quickly dodged the man before he hit the ground.

Demi: Are you good, bro?

The man was knocked out. He had a symbol on his chest, though. Almost like an S. Demi wasted not another second and dragged him away from the wreckage.

Another crash was heard in front of them. Demi looked up at the dust in the air. When it faded, a mech in green and purple was revealed, and it was not friendly.

Mech: He's mine, child! Drop him!

Demi: Oh damn. He set the man aside. Well, you're surely not a nice guy. Didn't your mom teach you some manners?

Mech: You insulting me?! Fine. If that's your wish... Its eyes lit up red

Demi: Finally... Cracks neck and pulls out sword from behind his back Let's go then, Baldi!

The mech had missiles launched from its forearms aimed right at Demi. He quickly dodged a few, managing to cut only one. One rocket blew up right in front of him and sent Demi up in the air. The mech then flew up and grabbed Demi by the neck, soaring into the sky with him.

Demi: choking a little Man... you've got... serious anger issues! Kicks the arm holding him and slashes the side of its chest.

He started free-falling in the air, landing on a building. He looked up to see the mech about to land on top of him. Demi rolled out of the way before it could stomp him.

Mech: Tch... You've got some nerve, kid! Lunges towards Demi You chose this!

Demi quickly slides under it. As soon as the mech lands, Demi manages to slash one of its arms. There was a smaller arm sticking out.

Mech: What?! You little--- tries to whack Demi but gets the other arm cut off. Agh! Enough!

The mech sends more missiles at Demi, but this time, he jumps higher over the impacts. He holds his sword up high and lunges down.

Demi: Sorry, pal. Lightning intensifies on the sword But you're getting the real shave! Perfectly cuts the mech's head off

It takes a few steps back to the edge. Demi quickly lunges again, and they both start falling off the building. He then stands up on the mech and rides it like a surfboard.

Demi: WOOOO! YEAH! SURFS UP, DUDE! slides on the concrete as the mech hits the ground

It starts flipping, causing Demi to jump off. He landed on his back with the mech right next to him. Then the man in the suit climbs out and starts running. Demi looks up.

Demi: Wow, he really is Baldi.

An alarm starts ringing from the suit. Demi looks over to see on the chest of the mech saying, "Self Destruct."

Demi: Uh oh....

A clock appears, 5 seconds. Demi panics and starts running away. When the timer struck 0, the mech exploded and sent Demi flying into the air.

Demi: AHHHHHHHHHHH!

He faceplants into a billboard on a roof, then falls to the ground. He immediately gets up.

Demi: Yes! catches breath Did... did you see that?! points at the person in the billboard he faceplanted into That was AWESOME!

While he was celebrating, a device landed in front of him, a round metal object. Before he could reach it, it exploded in smoke.

Demi: coughs What the-- starts feeling lightheaded Oh great... gas... awesome... falls to the ground and goes unconscious

After a second, a man in black lands near him, studying him momentarily before reaching for his comms.

Man: I have him. A shuttle flies in and hovers over them. The man picks Demi up into the shuttle, and it soars off

Hours Later

Demi: Ugh... slowly opens eyes and looks around Huh? Looks at his forearms to see weird handcuffs on them. He tried to break them, but it wasn't working

Man: I wouldn't bother.

Demi looks over to see the man in black staring at him. He immediately recognized him as... You know who.

Demi: gasps BATMAN! Oh my god, this is such an honor! Well... maybe, but still! I was wondering which version you are... Arkham Knight? Please be so---

Batman: Who are you? And why were you in Metropolis?

Demi: Whoa, easy there, boss. Firstly... I'm Sam, Samuel Johnson. But you can call me... Demi Spider.... Ok, it's just a name but---

Batman: I ran your prints and ID, but nothing is showing up. Not even the National Criminal Database has a record of you. So I'd have to guess... you're not from around here.

Demi: Yeah, how'd you know? Oh right... world's greatest detective... sarcastic Uh... where am I anyway?

Batman: You're in the Hall of Justice. I brought you here in case you'd be uncooperative with the police.

Demi: Well... you're not... wrong...

Batman: I witnessed your fight with Luthor. I'd say you weren't that bad out there. But you could've gotten yourself or someone else killed today.

Demi: Is... that also why I'm locked up like this? So you can turn me in?

Batman: No... You did save Superman. He couldn't be here to thank you as he has business elsewhere. But I'll give you a choice now.

Demi: Ok, I'm emotionally ready! What's the bargain?

Batman: I can turn you in, as you are not officially a... hero here. Or you can agree to join the Teen Titans in Jump City, and you can learn much more there.

Demi: Teen Titans? And... why would you offer me this?

Batman: You are reckless, but you have potential. Joining the Titans may help you in balancing yourself and learning to work as a team with them. Are you interested?

Demi: You're right, I guess... I've spent a lot of time alone and... I don't know what I'm doing half the time... Ok, I'll join them! For the... action part anyway...

Batman: shrugs and opens the cell door. He removes the cuffs from Demi. Your weapon is in the other room. Get it and meet me at the entrance of the hall in 5 minutes. No need for a tour. He walks out of the cell and heads for the exit

Demi stands up afterwards, excited.

Demi: Well, that was... Sick! And also... very lucky... He walks out, calls his sword, holsters it, and goes to find the exit

On his way, he saw a bunch of statues of heroes in the big hall. They are the Justice League, Demi thought.

He eventually made it to the exit, walked out, and saw Batman in his shuttle.

Batman: Hop in.

Demi: Let's go! Jumps in I can't wait to fly this thing!

Batman: You won't. Starts taking off

Demi: Please?

Batman: No.

Demi then looks out the window and sees the city below.

Demi: Wow... It's so beautiful.

Batman: Don't let the thought get to you here. You might as well take a nap. It'll take a while to get to Jump City.

Demi: Thank you.

Batman: For what?

Demi: For giving me this chance smiles

Batman shrugs it off and focuses on piloting

Demi then leans the other way and shuts his eyes, eager for what's to come of his future.
