Evy stared in horror at the possessed Sarah, her mind reeling. It was a grotesque mockery of her fallen comrade, a puppet animated by the Void Weaver's malevolent will. The friendly presence she had felt in her mind, the helpful guidance, had all been a carefully constructed lie.

"Sarah?" Evy whispered, her voice trembling. "Is that really you?"

The possessed Sarah laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the ruined temple. "Oh, it's me alright. Or rather, what's left of her. I must thank you, Evy, for making this so easy. You willingly invited me into your mind, gave me access to all your thoughts, your memories, your weaknesses."

"You… you tricked me," Evy stammered, feeling a wave of nausea wash over her.

"Indeed," the possessed Sarah replied, her voice dripping with amusement. "And now, I have everything I need. With your body, your power, and this artifact, I will be unstoppable."

"I won't let you," Evy declared, her voice gaining strength. "I'll fight you, even if it means destroying myself."

The possessed Sarah chuckled. "A noble sentiment, but ultimately futile. I am already inside you, Evy. I am a part of you now. You can't defeat me without destroying yourself."

"Then that's what I'll do," Evy said, her voice resolute.

"Very well," the possessed Sarah replied, shrugging. "But first, allow me to show you what I have in store for this pathetic moon, and then for your precious Earth."

The possessed Sarah raised her hand towards the obsidian skull, and a wave of dark energy pulsed outwards, engulfing the temple. Evy felt her mind being assaulted by a torrent of horrific visions.

She saw the moon transformed into a desolate wasteland, its surface cracked and barren, its atmosphere choked with despair. She saw the Earth consumed by darkness, its cities crumbling, its people enslaved by the Void Weaver. She saw her friends, her family, her loved ones, suffering unspeakable torments.

"This is your future, Evy," the possessed Sarah whispered. "This is the destiny that awaits you. Accept it, and your suffering will be lessened."

Evy screamed, her mind struggling against the onslaught of the Void Weaver's power. She closed her eyes, focusing all her energy, all her strength. She refused to let the Void Weaver break her will.

"I won't let you win," she said, her voice barely audible. "I'll fight you until my last breath."

"Then prepare to die," the possessed Sarah replied, her voice filled with malice.

The possessed Sarah lunged towards Evy, her hands outstretched, her eyes burning with malevolent intent. Evy raised her energy pistol and fired, but the possessed Sarah easily deflected the energy beam with a wave of her hand.

Evy knew that she was outmatched. The possessed Sarah was stronger, faster, more powerful than her. But she refused to give up. She had to find a way to stop the Void Weaver, even if it meant sacrificing herself.

She dodged and weaved, avoiding the possessed Sarah's attacks, searching for an opening. She needed a plan, a way to turn the tables.

Suddenly, she remembered something that Sarah had told her, something about the possessed needing a physical anchor to maintain their power. Could the same be true of the Void Weaver's control over Sarah?

An idea sparked in her mind. A desperate, risky idea, but it was the only chance she had.

She reached out with her mind, connecting with Sarah's consciousness, reaching out to the part of her that was still trapped within the Void Weaver's grasp.

"Sarah," she whispered. "Can you hear me?"

A faint voice echoed in her mind, barely audible. "Evy… is that you?"

"Yes, Sarah," Evy replied. "It's me. I need your help. I know you're still in there. I know you can fight this."

There was a long silence. Then, Sarah's voice, stronger this time, echoed in her mind. "I… I don't know if I can, Evy. It's too strong. It's controlling me."

"I know you can do it, Sarah," Evy replied, her voice filled with conviction. "I believe in you. You're the strongest person I know. You can break free."

Another silence. Then, a surge of determination echoed in Evy's mind. "Alright, Evy," Sarah said. "I'll try. But I need your help. I need you to distract it. To give me a chance to fight back."

"I will," Evy replied. "Just tell me what to do."

"It's vulnerable to psychic attacks," Sarah said. "If you can focus your mind, channel your energy, you can disrupt its control."

"But I don't know how to do that," Evy replied.

"I'll guide you," Sarah said. "Just follow my instructions. And remember, Evy, you're not alone. I'm here with you."

Evy took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She reached out with her mind, connecting with Sarah's consciousness, following her instructions.

The possessed Sarah continued to attack, her movements relentless, her power overwhelming. But Evy dodged and weaved, avoiding her attacks, buying time for Sarah to fight back.

She could feel Sarah struggling within the Void Weaver's grasp, fighting against its control. It was a slow, agonizing process, but she could sense her getting stronger, more determined.

"Now, Evy!" Sarah's voice echoed in her mind. "Focus your mind! Channel your energy! Unleash your power!"

Evy followed Sarah's instructions, focusing all her energy, all her strength, channeling it into a psychic attack. She unleashed a wave of mental energy, targeting the Void Weaver's control over Sarah.

The possessed Sarah screamed, clutching her head, her body convulsing. The air crackled with energy, and the temple began to shake.

"What are you doing?" the possessed Sarah shrieked, her voice filled with rage. "Stop it! You can't defeat me!"

But Evy refused to stop. She continued to focus her mind, channeling her energy, unleashing her power.

The possessed Sarah staggered backward, her control weakening. She lost her grip on reality, her form flickering and fading.

Finally, with a final, agonizing scream, the possessed Sarah collapsed to the ground, her body limp and lifeless. The Void Weaver's control was broken.

Evy stood there, panting, her body trembling. She had done it. She had freed Sarah from the Void Weaver's grasp.

But as she looked at Sarah's lifeless body, a wave of grief washed over her. She had saved her friend, but she had lost her in the process.

She knelt beside Sarah's body, her tears
