Urahara took a sip from his tea and said, "Yuki told me many things about you, Kazuki. When you first came to the academy, you were severely lacking in skill, but you steadily improved through hard work. You can even hold your own against Yuki in a taijutsu spar, and you had mastered the three basic jutsu before the academy started teaching them. But may I ask why you were faking your jutsu in the classroom?"

Kazuki replied with a stern expression, "I did that to avoid unnecessary attention from any teacher or students."

Urahara nodded. "You are quite smart for your age. Now, let's move to the main topic. I've called you here to form a pact with you."

Kazuki's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean by a pact?"

Urahara continued, "It's a long story. Let me start from the very beginning. Years ago, ever since our leaders, Lord First Hashirama and Lord Second Tobirama, died, the Senju clan started to weaken. It was not just because our leaders died but also because of their ideals. They wanted to strengthen Konoha by marrying members of the Senju clan outside the clan. Why do you think an average Konoha shinobi is stronger than shinobi from other villages? It's because they have some amount of Senju blood in them."

Urahara sighed and continued, "Currently, there are very few pure Senju in the clan, including me and my daughter. When Konoha was founded, the Senju clan was equal to, if not greater in power than the Uchiha clan, but currently, it's not even half the strength of the Uchiha clan. But my ideals and goals are different from my predecessors. I want to make the Senju clan stronger. I want the Senju clan to claim the title of mightiest clan of Konoha once again. It probably won't be possible in my generation, but in the future, I will make it possible."

Kazuki analyzed the information. 'That makes sense. I always wondered what happened to the Senju clan. That also explains why there were so many strong civilian shinobi in Konoha, like Minato, Jiraiya-sensei, and Sakura. They probably had a huge amount of Senju blood in them. But why is he telling me about his future plans? Is it because he'll kill me if I refuse to form the pact with him? And what does the pact have to do with all this?'

Kazuki replied, "I understand, but what does that have to do with me and the 'pact' you are talking about, Urahara-sama?"

Urahara said, "Let me complete the story. Ever since I became the clan head, I started encouraging my clan members to marry within the clan to preserve our bloodline. Of course, I'm not forcing them. I also started adopting talented orphans into the clan, and I told Yuki to find any talent in the academy if possible. That was the reason she was being friendly with everyone, as you would have noticed."

"I would have liked to adopt you too, but I can't do that because you are from the Uchiha clan, and they won't let that happen, not if you manage to become a S rank ninja strong enough to oppose them which is highly unlikely. That's why I want to form this pact with you."

"I will give you the resources you need to become stronger, like scrolls for some jutsu that aren't in the library or ninja tools. In return, you will have to pledge your loyalty to the Senju clan. You won't officially be a member of the Senju clan, but you will follow my orders. By orders, I mean you will support me politically if you become an Elite Jonin, and I will occasionally give you some missions, which you can refuse if you think they harm you in any way. I know that the Uchiha clan isn't treating you well. This is a great opportunity for you."

"So, do you accept the terms of our pact, Kazuki?"

Kazuki thought, trying to hide his frustrated expression. 'This bastard. He gave me only one option, which is yes. If I refuse, he'll probably kill me or something because there's no way he'll let me go with such crucial information. His terms aren't bad, though. I can probably ask him for higher-rank jutsu too. Should I take this risk?'

Kazuki replied, "What will you do if I refuse, Urahara-sama?"

Urahara casually replied with a stoic expression, "I'll just erase the memory of our conversation and let you go. It will take some time, but that's the best possible solution."

Kazuki gulped as he thought, 'That's worse than death. He'll probably have to search my memories for that.'

Kazuki replied, "Alright, I accept your terms, Urahara-sama."

Urahara gave a small smile before raising a hand for a handshake. "Welcome to the Senju clan, Kazuki."

Kazuki shook his hand.

Urahara said, "I forgot to tell you that you can only visit the Senju compound once a month to take the resources you need, but you can visit as many times as you want after graduating. You will also have to keep this a secret. If someone asks you why you went to the Senju compound, just say that you went to play with Yuki."

Urahara placed a hand on Kazuki's head and smiled before saying, "I have great expectations from you. If you keep working hard like this, then you will definitely become an Elite Jonin in the future. I might even accept you as an official member and marry you to Yuki if you manage to become an S-rank ninja, if Yuki agrees, that is."

Listening to that, Yuki blushed and said, "Daaaaad, stop it! I'm still too young!"

"Feel free to ask if you need anything and make sure to have lunch before leaving. You are a part of our family after all."

Kazuki was surprised by the sudden change in tone. 'He was so serious and formal just a minute ago, but now he's acting so frank and kind, like I'm his own son. I guess it's because of the Senju blood. in him' Kazuki giggled.

Kazuki said, "Can you give me the scroll for the Shadow Clone Jutsu and some empty scrolls and ink to learn fuinjutsu?"

Urahara replied, "The Shadow Clone Jutsu, huh? It will be great for you since you are a quarter Uzumaki, and you are learning Fuinjutsu too?. I'll recommend taking it easy. Fuinjutsu is one of the most difficult skills to master, so take your time and don't rush it. I'll have someone prepare the items for you. Until then, you can have lunch with us. The maid will be serving soon."

Kazuki was confused. "Quarter Uzumaki? Wasn't I half Uzumaki?"

Urahara waved his hands dismissively . "No, no, your father was a half Uzumaki, not a pure one."

After a little more chatting with Urahara and Yuki and having lunch with them, Kazuki left with the items he had requested. There were some unasked-for snacks in the bag too.
