Lightor was a hedgehog fascinated by gadgets. He kept upgrading and became a cyborg.

Lazer used to be Eggman's badnik. He was roaming in Chilly Gardens when he met Lightor. The cyborg took care of him. Lazer obeyed every order. They became a menace and eventually stumpled upon Team Sonic.

A fight started. Lazer It shot deadly light beams. Tails had an idea to use a mirror. Sonic reflected the lasers and damaged the badnik. Then, Lightor revealed his power. He wielded rays that destroyed objects of the same color. The team lured him into the dark, where colours can't be seen. The rays hit Lightor badly.

Lightor came to his senses. The group told him it’s never too late to change. Sonic said he can always get better, but the cyborg's wound was fatal. He uttered they’d better save Lazer. Tails rushed to the badnik while Sonic and Knuckles stayed with Lightor. The whole situation gave them the blues.

Inside Lazer's metal body, Tails found an amnesiac beaver. The friends named him Gont and decided to help him find his identity.
