L- I think I'm a good author now.

Find the Pinewing stolen by two

This Pinewing is an heir, it’s true

The Tigerwing wanting to avenge

C- ASSEMBLE!

J- Wrong fandom, buddy.

But watch out though, she seeks revenge.

The Spacewing who as a egg, wailed

The spiky horns and pale patterned scales.

The Willowwing and Nightwing hatch

In an arena battle, it’s first match

The Seawing hatched the same night too

The remains of the egg in the warmest blue.

Mudwing that hatched by dawn,

Who lived to the name of Fawn.

Then the Rainwing raised with seawing scales,

With the venom so painful and the sharpest of tails.

Then with all the power you made,

Go to the mountain of Jade,

To find the smartest Nightwing 

The answers he will sing

To find the princess who lifts the curse

In the forest deep as the planet's earth.

C- Well, Lex, you weren't a very experienced writer, but boy, could you rhyme!

Pinewings live in pinewood forests.

Most of them are green, or brown.

They all have a necklace that goes with their name.

The Pinewings are 

named after leaves, a type of metal. Or trees.

PineWings can be born with animus blood.

Pinewings have leafspeak 

T- (Echo) Hello! Lo... Lo... looo...

One day a Pinewing named Silverleaf was wandering around in her cottage in her village. It was almost dawn, and she was waiting for it to turn at 5:30, because she had to meet a special dragon… it started like this…

It was 5:30 AM

J- (a la Silver leaf) "I'm late for my pedicure!"

and it was time for Silverleaf to go on her secret walk in the forest. She looked around to make sure no one was looking, and she slipped out the door. 

She flew over the forest’s canopy, and was looking for a bit of white on a tree (no, it wasn’t snow, she just never knew)

T- I have a few ideas!

L- Tom, that is disgusting.

and it  had just a gap big enough for Silverleaf to fit through. And there it was! She tucked in her wings, and dove into the trees. Finally, she got down, sank her claws into the soil, and sighed heavily. She was relieved to be in her little quiet place. “Lunar! Here girl!” she called softly. Silence. Then she heard a noise: pad pad pad pad went little paws,

C- Sigh, sigh, sigh went little readers

J- Bang, bang, bang went little heads

T- Shut, right, up went little mouths

and out came a wolf! “Hey Lunar! How are you doing, girl?” Lunar barked, and to Silverleaf, she could just make out that she said, “Good! How ‘bout you, Silleaf?” Silverleaf was still trying to learn what series of barks Lunar would use to say Silverleaf’s name. So it just sounded like Silleaf.

T- (a la Lunar) "That's BS, this is how I get cookies."

They wandered through the forest, when suddenly, a ruckus arose from across the small ocean. Lunar bolted away and her moon necklace that Silverleaf had given her after they had met jingling in tune of her running. Pad, cling, pad, cling it went.

L- I'm, tired, so, tired I went

C- I smell a song!

Silverleaf investigated the noise, and she saw another island! It was in the shape of a big cat. She had seen bobcats around the forest, but never this thing. She was curious, so she flew onto the island, and out popped a new dragon!

T- Sorry, how do you live on a really small island for your entire life, and then JUST notice another one right next to it? It's so close to... Nevermind.

It wasn’t anything like a Pinewing, she could see, and she heard wingbeats coming from behind her. 

T- No, I don't think she sees ANYTHING.

Pinecone! Hallelujah! He landed behind her and asked in a low voice, “Do you know this dragon?” “No.” she answered. Who is this dragon, or really what is this dragon is the question she wondered to herself. Suddenly, the strange dragon’s face softened probably when she saw that Silverleaf was shrinking and hunkering into her big brother.

J- (a la Pinecone) "You wimp, get over here."

“It is alright. My name is Phoenix.” said the dragon. Silverleaf looked at her brother, and he nodded. “I will say make this piece of grass-'' Silverleaf whispered. “And I will say, a beautiful necklace in the shape of the mythical phoenix-''

C- WOAH! I think we skipped a few pages here.

T- Nope! I think it's universal in these worlds to become friends with someone you don't know right away!

Pinecone added, before Silverleaf finished his sentence: “that no one but Phoenix, Silverleaf and Pinecone can see.” They put it all together with Silverleaf picking up a blade of grass and whispering to it, Silverleaf said, “Make this piece of grass” and Pinecone adding, “a beautiful necklace in the shape of the mythical phoenix” and Silverleaf finishing off with, “that no one but Phoenix, Silverleaf, and Pinecone can see.” and instantly, a blade of grass swirled up and turned into a necklace and the picture in the middle was a phoenix!  “Cool… WAIT! YOU’RE AN ACTUAL ANIMUS?! BOTH OF YOU?” Phoenix exclaimed. Pinecone looked around frantically and shushed Phoenix. “It is a SECRET! SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.” 

(Joel cracks up)

T- I think Joel is broken.

J- They... They just... They just told a secret to someone they just met...

“Okay. I’m good at keeping secrets! Oh! By the way, I am a Tigerwing.” Phoenix explained. 

DRACOPEDIA

Tigerwings are striped orange blue and black dragons.

They live in the land of Nala, a cat shaped island.

L- Ah yes, that picture is an accurate description of a black and orange striped dragon.

Tigerwings are named after fiery things, patterns, or even terrains and biomes.

Animus genes only run in Tigerwing blood that is part Mudwing or Seawing.

Tigerwings have night vision, retractable claws, shield wings, and strength. 

“Friends?” Pinecone and Silverleaf asked. “Some might say secret best friends!” the Tigerwing exclaimed.

(ALL giggle like schoolgirls)

Chapter 17: Wings of Flame #1- Part2

And so, Phoenix and Silverleaf would meet just before dawn at 5:30 AM,

C- I just realized they have a sense of time.

and they would begin at Silverleaf’s secret clearing. Sometimes, they even went hunting. What Silverleaf didn’t know was that Tigerwings aren’t just ONE tribe. They are shared with the SpaceWings and WillowWings. Phoenix wasn’t just a TigerWing. She was part SpaceWing! You could tell because she has a nose like the SpaceWings, and she has spots all over her.

J- Wait, we could tell?

C- I think Lexsi's half SpaceWing.

L- What?

Her body and face has Stripes too! But Silverleaf always wondered what the big rash on her neck was. One day, she asked her. “Oh, a MudWing attacked me when I was a little hatchling. That is why my name is Phoenix, because it is red, and the MudWing used fire.”

T- (a la Phoenix) "Oh, and while we're trauma-dumping, I'm on the run from the government."

Said Phoenix. “Wh- WHAT ARE SPACEWINGS?'' Silverleaf.

J- Silverleaf?

T- Silverleaf.

C- Silverleaf.

L- Silverleaf!

“I WOULD show you my SpaceWing father, but we would get in trouble. SpaceWings are light blue and green, with some pale pink… they have one eye and are TWO-LEGGED.” Phoenix replied. “Ah, ok. I understand now.”

L- (a la Silverleaf) "I understand that meeting your father would be a drastic mistake because... He's light blue and green."

Silverleaf looked around and whispered to Phoenix, “We need to go to the secret clearing now. I need space from the other Pinewings now. Let’s go.” “I don’t see why company is so hard for you.” Phoenix said, rolling her eyes. “It is because -'' Silverleaf began, but looked up to see her brother frantically shaking his head.

T- AHHH! Ugh, Pinecone, stop stalking us...

“I will tell you once we get to you-know-where.” Silverleaf finished in a whisper. “Okay, fine.” Phoenix said as they took off into the air. “SO WHY IS COMPANY SO HARD?!”

T- Because of Pinecone!

Asked Phoenix in the air. “Well, it’s hard because you know how we are animuses? And you know how it’s a secret? AND you know how I almost cannot use it!? I don’t want to let out that secret and there is also a dragonet named Darkstar and he has a dark soul to me ‘cause he tackled me and he gave me a scar on my underbelly.” Silverleaf flipped over onto her back still flying, showing off the scar that reached almost halfway down her underbelly.

J- So, uh... Why's company so hard?

“I gotta say, you are the weirdest dragon I know.” Phoenix said. “What does Darkstar have to do with this whole company thing?” “Well, I HATE being around him so… ?”

ALL- Ohhhh...

Silverleaf said, hoping Phoenix would understand. “So he lives here. Who cares? The CrystalWings might have got it covered.” Said Phoenix. “Meh.” Said Silverleaf. “I believe that you have secrets.” “Oh, yes. Lots. You are the only dragon I can share them with.” Said Phoenix. “As I already know that you have a brother named Kit. Yes, I am the only SpaceWing/TigerWing.”

C and L- (singing) WHO SAID... THAT I CAN'T WEAR MY CONVERSE... WITH MY DRESS, OH BABY...

Said Phoenix. “Really? You brother Kit isn’t one?”

C and L- (singing) THAT'S JUST ME!

Silverleaf turned over, gliding down into the secret place. “Well, he is a full Tigerwing, but we think that he is part Willowwing, too. See, he has some purple on his wings.”

(Awkward silence)

J- Oh... Uh...

T- Are you sure your parents are-

L- It's too late now, Servo.

Phoenix followed Silverleaf. As they looked around the clearing, they heard whispering. Strange Silverleaf thought. I thought I was the one who found this. They looked around and saw a nightwing, Mudwing, Rainwing, Skywing, and Seawing.

J and C- (like the twins from the Shining) "Come play with us..."

“Who are you?” Silverleaf asked. The other dragons stepped forward. “I am Nightbreaker.” The Nightwing glared at Silverleaf, like trying to win a battle. “I am Droplet.” The Rainwing said. “I am Tidepool.” The Seawing said. “I’m Hummingbird” The Skywing said. “And I am Fawn.” The Mudwing explained. “Why are you here?!” Silverleaf shouted. “Are you kidding me? This is our home!”

J- Oh, I see, Silverleaf accidentally put it up for sale on Zillow.

L- But even if they HAVE been living here, how come nobody ever noticed?

C- Well, Lexsi, you should remember Silverleaf's terrible eyesight.

L- Oh, right...

Fawn snapped. “And WHO are you?” Droplet asked. “I’m Phoenix. I am a Tigerwing/spacewing.” Phoenix stepped toward the other dragons.

T- See, I wonder if Phoenix says "slash" between TigerWing and SpaceWing... It comes up so much!

“I’m Silverleaf. A Pinewing.” Silverleaf followed Phoenix. “Silverleaf… Phoenix… such fascinating names…” Nightbreaker.

C- (a la Night breaker) "Perfect for my collection! Muahahahahaha!"

“I have two other friends that I know, Neptune and Fullmoon. A Spacewing and Willowwing.” Phoenix said.

Willowwings live in the land of Nala, but they call it Widow. 

C- Uh... Okay?

Willowwings have purple and black scales.

Willowwings are named after a type of wood, tree, or even weather!

Nobody has ever seen a Willowwing that is an animus.

Willowwings have padded claws and slanted scales and underbelly, making it easy to climb

As they heard wingbeats behind them, they stepped back as a dark purple and black scaled dragon came in. “I am Fullmoon. Oh, hi Phoenix!” The Willowwing said. Fullmoon did a wing high five with Phoenix.

C- Servo, let's BEAK-FIVE!

T- ALRIGHT! YEAH!

J- (pulls them apart) No, no, guys, stop it.

Then, Neptune, who appeared to be coming behind the Full Moon, was a pale light green with pale pink. Silverleaf stood amazed. She had never seen a Spacewing before! Neptune had a glimmering one eye, and was two-legged, like other Spacewings.

Spacewings live in the land of Nala, they call it Solar.

L- Jesus- MAKE UP YOUR MIND!

J- Wrong dragon, guys.

Spacewings are pale colors, and like Rainwings, some of them can camouflage and change colors.

Spacewings are named after planets, and solar systems.

It is possible for a Spacewing to be animus.

Spacewings can breathe in space

“Okay! Neptune and Fullmoon, this is Fawn, Tidepool, Nightbringer, Hummingbird, and Droplet.” Phoenix said.  “SILVERLEAF! DINNER!” Silverleaf’s mother, Maple, called. “That’s my mom! See ya!” Silverleaf flew away.

J- Let's get outta here...

OTHERS- Agreed.

Chapter 18: Wings of Flame #1- Host Segment

(Crow is holding up a sign that says Wings of Flame in the Shortest Time we can Manage)

Crow- Hello! Good day! My name is Crow T. Robot, and me and my friends here- Joel, Lexsi, and Tom Servo, have made up a short little play honoring the story we're on today. The cast are as follows... Joel Robinson as Silverleaf... Tom Servo as Pinecone and Lunar... Me as Phoenix... And Lexsi Marinn as All The Other Guys. Enjoy.

(Joel enters with a green hat on, in blackened shades, holding an aide cane)

Joel- My Wolfy companion!

(Tom enters, clearly not a fan of his doggy attire)

Tom- Ruff ruff, Silleaf.

Crow- BOOM! BOOM!

(Crow enters with wings. Joel almost whacks him with the blindness cane, but misses)

Joel- Who is that?

(Joel touches Crow's face, trying to take his hand)

Crow- Hi, my name is Phoenix and I'm a professional trauma dumper!

(Tom enters with wings)

Tom- Fear not, little sister! 

Joel- Hey, this person doesn't look sketchy at all!

T- I thought you were blin-

Joel- But I'm not blind to the power of...

ALL- FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS!

(Lexsi holds up a sign: Act Two)

Joel- Oh boy, Phoenix, I love being your friend.

Crow- My parents are unloyal! And why is company so hard?

Tom- DON'T YOU DO IT! DON'T YOU DO IT! (pops out of the ceiling) DON'T YOU DO IT! DON'T YOU DO IT!

(silence)

Joel- Oh... I don't like someone.

Crow- Reasonable.

Lexsi- BOOM BOOM! PSPSPSPSPSPSS!

(Joel pretends to be frightened and whacks Lexsi with the cane)

Lexsi- OH COME ON! Shit...

Joel- My secluded area has friends!

Crow- But Silverleaf, they were there this entire time!

Lexsi- Our names are-

BEEP BEEP!

Lexsi- Oh, come on, we got STORY SIGN!

Crow- ALREADY?

Chapter 19: Wings of Flame #1- Part 3

The next day, she came to the secret place and saw just Phoenix in there. “Where are the others?” Silverleaf asked. “Hunting.” Phoenix sighed. “What’s wrong?”

T- (falsetto) "Nothing... I guess."

“I wanted to tell you something.” “What?”

C- These hips do lie.

“Maple and Bronze are not your mother and father.”

J- Well! They can both relate to each other on that level!

“How do you know that?” “As I was returning back to my island of Nala, I heard them go: ‘It’s ok. They won’t find out. We must hide them away from her.’” Phoenix sighed once more.

L- Phoenix isn't only a trauma dumper... She draws conclusions.

Silverleaf nearly fainted. 7 years of living with Maple and Bronze and they aren’t her parents? “Thank you, Phoenix, for telling me that.” Silverleaf said. “Who is my mother and father?” “Queen Goldenleaf and King Oakwood.”

T- OH COME ON!

C- Please, can we have one story that doesn't have the Main Character have royal blood?

J- We don't need another princess, please...

L- Oh, and how did Phoenix find that out? That nosy thing...

“So me and Pinecone…” “Are royalty.” Phoenix said. “Can we, um, see them?” Silverleaf and Phoenix flew down to the ground. “Sure. Pinecone is there. I told them.”

As they arrived, Queen Goldenleaf and King Oakwood hugged Silverleaf tight. “Hi mom, hi dad!” Silverleaf sobbed. “Oh, SILVERLEAF!” Goldenleaf sobbed.

T- I think the word "Sobbed" is ruined for me now.

As the sky turned black, Silverleaf and Pinecone went to THEIR room, bigger and more clean. As it turned 5:30 A.M, Silverleaf heard knocking on the window. As she woke up, Pinecone was at the window, holding a sign made of tree bark with “GET OUT RIGHT NOW!” carved on it.

T- (in a femboy voice) "Taylor Swift is at Long Beach Island!"

As Silverleaf flew outside, she realized her ACTUAL mom and dad (Oakwood and Goldenleaf) weren’t outside. All eyes were fixed on Maple and Bronze. “Silverleaf!” Goldenleaf signaled Silverleaf and Pinecone to sit in their throne next to her. “Mom, what is happening?” Silverleaf asked. “My darling, don’t you see? Maple and Bronze are being executed.” Goldenleaf said.

C- (falsetto, giggling) "Isn't this exciting?"

“MAPLE AND BRONZE, YOU ARE BEING EXECUTED BECAUSE YOU STOLE OUR HEIR AND PRINCE!” Oakwood shouted. The guards then shoved Maple and Bronze into the boiling lava.

ALL- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Ha. Serves THEM right! Silverleaf chuckled in her mind. Maple and Bronze screeched.

“AAAIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!” 

“AAAGH! HEEEEEEEEELP!” Bronze screamed as he then burned to a crisp. 

“Thanks mom and dad.” I guess…. That was very… erm… gruesome. But they were just trying to be nice.

L- Yeah. Nice. Nothing says nice like pushing your kidnappers into a pit of boiling lava... Actually... She's right.

 Silverleaf thought. Then, as they were walking into the palace, Silverleaf got pounced on by a dark dragon, her family didn’t notice, because she was behind. “AKPTH!” Silverleaf spit out some pine leaves.

J- KRPTHHHH!

L- PTOO!

T- HOAAACK!

C- ARKKKKSHHH!

“Ah. How gruesome, you think. I agree.” Said an edgy, dark voice echoing behind Silverleaf. “WHO ARE YOU?” Silverleaf turned around, and grabbed hold of a nearby spear. “I am a Willowwing named Midnight. And I know you, SILVERLEAF.” Said the dragon as a lantern lit up so Silverleaf could see Midnight’s whole face. It was pure black, all except for her pale blue eyes.

L- How... Edgy.

I forgot, Willowwings have mind reading. Silverleaf thought. “Study enough?'' Midnight asked. “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!” Silverleaf shouted. Midnight lit up the unlit lanterns with her purple fiery breath. As Midnight handed some crow

(Crow gasps)

to Silverleaf, Silverleaf noticed a necklace similar to the one she heard stories about, except this necklace was a crown in the stories. “Your necklace.” Silverleaf said. “Where is it from?” Midnight glared at silverleaf, and looked back at her crow, after a long pause, Midnight said, “Willowed forest.” “From who?” Silverleaf asked.

J- Claire's.

Midnight just kept eating. “Princess Silverleaf of the Pinewings you are talking to, FROM WHO?”

J- Clarie's! Jeez...

Silverleaf slammed Midnight’s talon with hers. Midnight glared at Silverleaf, grabbing her talon and slamming her to the ground. Silverleaf stood stunned for a split second and then, “I don’t want to tell you.” Midnight said. Silverleaf then used her wings to scrape Midnight’s head. Soon, after the long, horrible fight,

L- Oh my god, this fight's even shorter. I get to the point.

Silverleaf managed to pin Midnight to the ground. “F-FINE!” Midnight choked. As Silverleaf let go of Midnight, they sat down. “Princess Spruce of the Willowwings threw it to me. It was her crown.” “WHAT?” Silverleaf asked. “I was supposed to find the prophecy dragons for this current prophecy for queen Deadwood. She was furious at the fact that I didn’t get all of the dragons, so she prepared me for execution.

T- Then people find out their parents aren't their real parents, blah blah blah, they find out the prophecy isn't real, WE KNOW!

Her only daughter was her first daughter, Spruce. At the time, I was good friends with Spruce, anyway, I was getting pushed into the lava, and then POW! Spruce flew right into me and shoved me out of the way. And…” Midnight paused. “What?” Silverleaf asked.

C- (a la Midnight) "She kissed me."

“She fell into the lava instead.

C- (a la Midnight) "Then she kissed me."

As she was burning, she threw her crown at me. I've been searching for the prophecy dragons ever since.” Midnight sighed. “Then why take me?” Silverleaf asked. “You and your friends ARE the prophecy dragons, Silverleaf.”

J- Oh, I get it, because she's the maiiiin chaaaaraaacterr...

Midnight slayed a rope, and a curtain fell down, revealing that Midnight stole all Silverleaf’s friends. They were all wrapped in vines and chains. As Midnight released every friend, they all huddled together. The next thing they knew, they were knocked out and were hit by sleeping darts. 

Chapter 20: Wings of Flame #1- Part 4

When Silverleaf and the others woke up, they were in a cage, rumbling along the gravel in the willows forest. We must be in Willowwing territory and- THREE MOONS! Silverleaf thought as a purple palace faded into view through the mist. Midnight’s bringing us to queen Deadwood! As they were in the palace, all the guards glared at the prophecy dragons. “There she is.” Phoenix pointed at the throne.

C- Estelle!

“Queen Deadwood.”

L- Don't be mean to Khloe Kardashian, guys, call her by her real name.

Silverleaf turned her head to the Willowwing queen.

Queen Deadwood’s scales were a blackish-brown, with dark green eyes. “Midnight. You redeemed yourself.” Deadwood sighed, hopping off her throne and toward Midnight. Silverleaf looked into Deadwood’s eyes. Deadwood was stunned at the sight of Midnight’s necklace. “That necklace.” Deadwood glared at Midnight. “That’s SPRUCE’S!” Deadwood tore the necklace off of Midnight and placed it on her neck. Wow, Deadwood has a LOT of necklaces on her neck. Even ancient ones.

T- Clink... Clink... Tap, tap... (necklace noises)

Silverleaf thought. “I’m sorry, prophecy dragons. Midnight here has had some… HISTORY.” Deadwood turned to Silverleaf and the others. “But now I can make her pay for what she did 7 years ago.” Deadwood signaled her guards to round Midnight up.

(Crow and Tom make necklace noises)

“Anyway, she’ll be in my dungeon for now. What are your names?” Deadwood unlocked the cage and let the dragons out. All the dragons said their names and Deadwood sent them to their rooms. “Who are you?” Deadwood finally set her eyes on Silverleaf. “I’m Silverleaf. Goldenleaf’s daughter.” Silverleaf said. “Ah. You must be the royal one.” Deadwood signaled her guards to take her to her room. And, as it turned out, she shared a room with the others. 

L- What a nice gesture... It'd be a shame if someone, you know, they broke out. Which, you know, couldn't happen.

J- Go on.

“I don’t get it!” Phoenix shouted. “What?” Silverleaf asked. “When Deadwood came to me, I told her ‘I’m Phoenix the Tigerwing/Spacewing’ and then she goes: ‘Ah. Interesting. You will come in handy.’ and I think she’s either gonna make me kill Midnight, or make me one of her guards or something! She might even kill ME!” Phoenix said in a panicked voice.

J- All in favor of killing the continuation so we can go home?

ALL- AYE!

“She said to ME that I might become USEFUL!! I don’t wanna end up like Queen Glory when SHE got caught by the SKYWINGS!” Droplet shouted at the top of her lungs.

C- Godam- would you KEEP IT DOWN?

“She said to ME that I would be GREAT for her guards!” Fullmoon said as she scraped the wall. “She said that I would do great entertainment for her subjects! Ok so I might be a Spacewing but DO I LOOK LIKE A JOKE TO YOU????” Neptune shouted. “She said that she’d rather see Clay eat than me run!” Fawn hissed.

L- I don't think Deadwood's good at improv.

“She  said that I could be her new fortune teller! I mean.. If that’s a thing…” Nightbreaker sighed. “She said nothing to me!” Tidepool said. “She said that I could stay if I lit all the torches in the palace!” Hummingbird said.

T- I forgot who "Hummingbird" was.

L- The SkyWing.

C- There was a SkyWing?

“LIT ALL TORCHES?” Fullmoon shouted. “Yes?” Hummingbird asked. “Only one dragon has ever succeeded that.” “Who? Peril?” Hummingbird asked sarcastically. “No. It wasn’t a Skywing. It’s a Willowwing.” Fullmoon said. “How come this is so important? Can’t Deadwood just light them up herself?” Neptune asked. “No. Deadwood was born with no fire. Even if you heat her up to the top notch, she can’t breathe fire. She puts torches in the hardest places to light. No guard is allowed to light them because of their patrols and the Willowwing laws. ‘NO DRAGON OF ANY OTHER ROLE CAN HAVE A DIFFERENT JOB’ And a torch lighter is an actual job.”

C- I'm so waiting for someone to say "Thrilling".

Fullmoon said. “Who completed it?” Asked Hummingbird. “Dusk. Also known as my sister.” Fullmoon sighed. “How’d she do it?” Asked Silverleaf. “Dusk used her wings to lift her up and she used her padded claws to walk the walls and ceilings.” Fullmoon explained, using her claws as if she was on the wall.

ALL- (singing) Spider-man, spider-man..

“Fullmoon!” A muffled voice echoed through the halls of the palace. “Who’s that?” Phoenix unseathened her claws. “That sounds like Dusk.” Fullmoon inched closer to the door. Then, a dark purple Willowwing with armor bursted through the door. “FULLMOON!” Dusk shouted. “DUSK!” Fullmoon hugged Dusk happily.

ALL- (singing) does whatever a spider can...

“Her majesty says that Midnight’s execution starts in a few minutes. She requests you dragons to be there.” Dusk said. All the dragons followed the Willowwing to the arena, where they sat down a few seats away from the queen.

J- (a la anyone) "Hey, isn't it getting a little bit crowded in here?"

“Good, you dragons have sense.” Deadwood smiled. “Bring out Midnight.” Deadwood said to Dusk as Dusk pulled a lever and the floor of the arena opened to a lava pit.

ALL (chanting)- FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

“No, Dusk.” Deadwood pushed the lever back up. “I want an arena battle.”

“Phoenix.” Deadwood said, glaring into Phoenix’s eyes. “Come with me. You will be the one killing Midnight.”

J- Called it!

“Ok, your majesty.” Phoenix said as she walked along with Deadwood to the entrance of the arena. Oh no. I hope Phoenix doesn't get killed. Silverleaf thought. Then, Deadwood returned to her throne. “ALL WILLOWWINGS!” She announced. “WE HAVE RETRIEVED MIDNIGHT AND HAVE BROUGHT HER TO THIS ARENA! INSTEAD OF A FIERY DEATH, WE WILL MAKE ONE OF THE PROPHECY DRAGONS KILL HER! WELCOME THE ATTACKER: PHOENIX THE TIGERWING/SPACEWING!”

T- Lex, are they saying "slash?"

L- I'm not really sure...

Deadwood said as Phoenix walked out onto the arena. “NOW THE CHALLENGER: MIDNIGHT!” Deadwood said as Midnight came out with her wings chained shut. “FIGHT!” Deadwood said as Phoenix charged toward Midnight with no question.

ALL- (singing) IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

L and C- DUH DUH DUH DUH

Then, a terrible fight went on, Phoenix attacked Midnight, Midnight springs back, claws at the ready.

L and C- DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH!

“GO PHOENIX, GO!” Cried the whole audience, including Silverleaf.

T- The whole audience? Phoenix has more secrets than she's let on!

Every time Midnight spat fire at Phoenix, Phoenix used her shield wings to block the attack.

J- Hey, that wasn't in the Dracopedia!

Phoenix blew fire all over MIdnight and Midnight fell to the ground. Phoenix clawed Midnight’s throat harshly, until Midnight stopped breathing. Phoenix let go of Midnight, looking up at Deadwood.

T- (a la Phoenix) "Aaaaaall done!"

“PHOENIX HAS WON!” Deadwood cheered. 

Chapter 21: Wings of Flame #1- Host Segment

(Music starts)

Tom: gee, Lex, me and the boys don't get all these characters! I wish there was a way to keep track of them all.

Crow: Yeah! Like, all of these guys say nothing for five paragraphs, then all of the sudden they jumpscare us... And we don't know them!

Lexsi: Ah, yes, well... That happens a lot with authors like me- see, they make perfect characters in groups... Then try to include them all to prevent forgetting about them.

Joel: Well, Lex, can you please tell us about the characters?

Lexsi: Of course. I'd do it best if it'd be through song.

Joel: Miss Marinn, be my guest.

(Music REALLY starts- a broadway, quirky beat. Think "Right Hand Man" from "Something Rotten")

Lexsi (singing):

Well first

The MC is named Silverleaf

She has a bro named Pinecone

And Pinecone has a knack for playin' spy.

Others: Uh-huh.

Lexsi (Singing):

She has a pup named Lunar

Whose vocals really need a tuner

And her BFF is a troubled guy!

Phoenix is a hybrid

Silver is an animus

As well as her brother, too...

Then they meet five dragons

Who are really good at hidin'

And what we've learned? Up to you!

Tom: Wow! That's just a plain summary of the other characters we'll meet!

Crow: Can I take the next verse, Joel?

Joel: Well, sure.

Crow: YAYYY!

Fullmoon is kinda funny

For all of her little laws

And Neptune is a funny lookin'

Chiiick..

Nightshade can see the future (kinda)

Fawn is slower than a Honda

Maple and Bronze are kind of pricks...

Lexsi and Crow:

These characters are just half the bunch

But they sure try to pack a punch

Chapter 22: Wings of Flame #1- End

That night, Silverleaf heard tapping at the window. She woke up, realising that Tidepool had her scales glow in different patterns at the window. “Who are you talking to?” Silverleaf asked. “Sh. Don’t wake anybody up.”

T- (a la Tidepool) "Nice job, Carol, now we'll never make a sneaking out vlog."

Tidepool said, turning the scale glow off. Silverleaf inched closer to the window and nearly fainted. It was TSUNAMI. That’s right. Tsunami the Seawing at the window.

L- WHAT A SHOCKING TWIST!

Tsunami glowed her scales in patterns like Tidepool, and Tidepool did the same. Are the rumors true? That Seawings have their own language? Silverleaf thought as she watched the two Seawings glowing on and off. Silverleaf looked behind, and there was Phoenix. Phoenix started growling and roaring quietly to the Tigerwing next to Tsunami. “Guys!” Tidepool whisper-shouted. “Let’s get out of here!”

J- I like your foreshadowing earlier, Lex.

L- Thanks!

Tsunami started pushing the window open and bursted open the door. “Let’s go! Kit, wake everybody up.” Tsunami pushed all of the dragons out the door. Silverleaf looked behind and saw a Tigerwing with a bit of purple on his wings start whispering into all the sleepy dragon’s ears. So that’s Phoenix’s brother, huh. Silverleaf thought, following the others out the door. Whoops. Bad idea. Guards surrounded the dragons. Do it Silverleaf. You can do it. No one will know. Whimpered Silverleaf’s mind. Fine. I will do it. She thought. “Make all guards surrounding us-” Silverleaf whispered. “Vanish.” She finished. And just like that, all the guards vanished into thin air.

C- (a la Silverleaf's mind) "Oh, I was actually kidding, uh... Haha..."

“YOU’RE AN ANIMUS???” Shouted all the dragons, except Phoenix. “Yep! And I hear more guards coming. Congrats.” Silverleaf sighed as all the dragons rushed toward the front door. “Dusk! NOW!” Tidepool shouted as Dusk opened the door and all the dragons bursted out. Dusk closed the door and followed them. “WOW! What a plan!” Nightbreaker said as they flew calmly in the air. “GUYS!” Kit shouted from the back. “I HAVE SOMEONE!” Kit used his little wings and caught up with the others. OH NO! Silverleaf thought. NEPTUNE!

J- (shouting) WHO ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE?!

“NO! Neptune, you ok?” Phoenix asked frantically. “I’m fine.” Neptune winced. “My wings are broken.” “Silverleaf, can you try to heal her?” Asked Fullmoon, gliding down to the ground with the others. “HEAL HER?” Silverleaf snapped. “I ALMOST LOST ALL MY SOUL FROM MAKING GUARDS VANISH, AND NOW YOU WANT ME TO HEAL HER?”

ALL- AHHHH!

Silverleaf gripped the ground and vines sprang up.

ALL- OW!

C- Jeez...

“WOAH! SILVERLEAF, RELEASE THE VINES!!” Nightbreaker snapped. “Oops.” Silverleaf said as she released the vines. “She needs a big leaf to heal. Wrap it around her wings.” Tsunami said. “Silverleaf, can you at least summon a big leaf?” Fullmoon asked. “FINE! I will.” Silverleaf hissed. “Concentrate.” Said Dusk. “Blade of grass, form into a big leaf so Neptune can heal.”

J- "Huh? Oh, I thought you said I could leave."

T- What is it with her and blades of grass?!

Silverleaf rolled her eyes and the blade of grass formed into a magic leaf. “Stay still.” Said Hummingbird, wrapping Neptune’s wings. “How do you feel?” Fullmoon asked. “Cold.” Silverleaf shivered.

ALL- Aww...

Fullmoon started mumbling under her breath. Then, Silverleaf felt… healed. She had all her animus power back. Huh.

ALL- Yay!

Fullmoon collapsed onto the ground.

ALL- Boo...

“I know a place. Albatross lake. It heals all dragons. Including animus.” Tidepool said.

C- YAY! Uh, guys?

As they got there, every dragon stepped in. All was healed except Neptune. “Oh. Must not work for Spacewings.” Tidepool said.

L- (a la Tidepool) "Loser."

“No, no. It’s fine. I’m tired. Can we stay here for the night or something?” Neptune asked. “I WISH THIS DARN SCAR WOULD HEAL!” Neptune shouted, opening her wings. “Woah. Let’s stay here. Neptune, rest.” Phoenix said. “We will go to Pine Forest by dawn.”

ALL- (singing) Into the woods, it's time to go, it may be all in vain, I know.

Silverleaf woke up with a start. “Come on, even Neptune is up already.” Phoenix said.

ALL- (singing) Into the woods but even so I have to take the journey...

All the dragons flew to the pine forest, where Goldenleaf and Bronze were waiting for them. “SILVERLEAF! DID YOU THINK I’D LOSE YOU AGAIN?” Goldenleaf shouted. Don’tsaythatyou’vebeeninwillowwingterritoryimserious Silverleaf thought, panicked.

J- Uh, "you've been in willowwing territory? I'm serious?"

“I have a Spacewing with me! She needs your help!” Silverleaf said, making room for Neptune to walk out of the crowd.

T- See? The amount of characters in this one are insane.

“Very well then. Bronze, just put the children in Pineleaf’s room.” Goldenleaf said. “Who’s Pineleaf?” Asked Silverleaf. “She’s your new baby sister.” Goldenleaf smiled. “And guess what? She’s animus!” Goldenleaf brought Silverleaf into Pineleaf’s room, where Pinecone was holding the little hatchling in his arms.

C- Guys, we missed one! We gotta do the song again!

OTHERS- NO!

“Where were you?” Pinecone snapped. “I was in Willowwing territory. I saw Queen Deadwood.” Silverleaf sighed. “Your secret’s safe with us. Right, Pineleaf?” Pinecone cooed. Pineleaf had little golden-brown scales. “I realised something.” Silverleaf said, sitting down next to her siblings. “All of us are animus.” “I know.” Pinecone said, putting Pineleaf down to walk around.

T- (a la Pinecone) "Let's tell our baby sister about company so I don't have to track her down."

“WAIT!” Silverleaf said, perching up. “My friends! What will happen to them??” SIlverleaf darted out the door.

J- The suspense!

“Oh good.” Silverleaf said. It seemed like her mom and dad had given them some food.

L and J- Oh, booo...

“Where’s Tsunami?” Asked Silverleaf. “TSUNAMI???” Pinecone said, shocked. “Yeah. Tsunami helped us escape.” Silverleaf smiled. “Tsunami? She flew away.” Tidepool said, chewing and chomping on some fish. “Good.” Silverleaf said. “Oh! Hi little rascal.” Pinecone said, turning around. There was Pineleaf walking through the halls of the palace. “She really is your sister.” Silverleaf jokes.

J- Uh, yeah, how?

“OUR sister.” Pinecone laughed. Then, Pinecone perched up. “What?” Silverleaf asked. “Do you hear that?” Pinecone asked. “Oh yeah.” Silverleaf said. What is that wingbeat sound? And someone’s shouting “PHOENIX! KIT!” Thought Silverleaf. “SILVERLEAF!” Phoenix rushed in. “What is that sound?” Silverleaf asked. “It’s my mom and dad.” Said Phoenix. “They’ve found us.”

C- No! It's a bad thing! SpaceWings have blue and green scales!

“So.” Phoenix’s mom glared at the dragons. “Who here has been protecting my dragonets safely?” “I have.” Silverleaf said. “Who are you?” “Princess Silverleaf of the Pinewings, and you?”

L- Woah, you're so defensive.

“I’m Bengal, this is my husband, Mercury.” Said Phoenix’s mom, a white Tigerwing with black stripes and some blue in her gray eyes. Then, who seemed to be Mercury, was a brown-red Spacewing with speckled blue spots all over.

T- Hey, Phoenix was a liar!

“And you said you were a princess?” Mercury asked. “Yes she did.” Said Goldenleaf, stepping forward. “This is my son, Pinecone, and my two daughters, Silverleaf and Pineleaf. And my husband, Oakwood. I am Queen Goldenleaf.” Goldenleaf said. “I will not fight. I just wanted to thank you for keeping Phoenix and Kit safe.

T- Woah, TigerWings might've been known for fighting if they have to remind strangers that they won't fight.

Phoenix and Kit, you have to tell me and your father about your adventure! Oh, you guys must be Hummingbird, Fawn, Tidepool, and Nightbreaker. Kit has spied on you guys. He knows who your families are.

J- (laughing) WHAT?

Go home! See them!” Bengal said. “Come now.” Said Mercury. “BYE, GUYS! SILVERLEAF, I’LL SEE YOU TOMORROW!” Phoenix shouted. “We will too!” Said Tidepool, Nightbreaker, Fawn, and Hummingbird.

L- At the same time? That's what I call friendship!

“Bye, guys! It was a great adventure with you!” Fullmoon said. “Bye!” Neptune shouted, and flew away.” “Bye, I guess.” Dusk said, ready for a trip back home. “Come on, Fullmoon!” Dusk shouted. “Wait!” Said Fullmoon. 5:30 A.M, right? Silverleaf thought. Fullmoon nodded. Ok. Safe travels. Silverleaf thought again, and Fullmoon followed Dusk. “Those were your friends?” Goldenleaf asked. “Yup.”

C- And that needed a new paragraph.

 Said Silverleaf. “Well let’s not stand here! Back into the palace! Tell us about your adventures with those dragonets!” Pinecone said. All of Silverleaf’s family went into the palace and into Pinecone, Pineleaf, and Silverleaf’s room. “Start from the beginning.” Said Oakwood. “Ok, ok.” Silverleaf said.

J- (a la Silverleaf) "So you know how I'm blind?"

“It all started when…”

C- And then we cut off.

T- Yep, there it is.

L- Let's get outta here, fellas.

Chapter 23: Transition

Joel: Alright, kiddos.

Emily: (looking up from playing Tetris with Mike) What?

Lexsi: It's time for you to take the wheel in this fanfiction.

Gypsy: What?

Tom: We're really sorry we can't be there.

Jonah: (getting worried) What?

Crow: I promise... You'll make it out in the end.

Mike: (near tears) WHAT?

(Joel, Lexsi, Crow, and Tom slowly back away, the door closing as they make their way out)

BEEP! BEEP!
