The next morning, the selected members of the Titans were driven to Wayne Manor, where Sam would meet The Batman once again. It took a few hours, but they managed to get there without any crazy encounters through Gotham City. When they got to the manor, they were greeted by Alfred, Bruce's Butler.

Alfred: Welcome home, Master Dick, Ms. Anders, Master Damian, Ms. Roth, Master Stone, and Master Kent. And who might you be, sir?

Sam: Hallo. I'm Sam. Samuel Johnson. 

Alfred: A pleasure to meet you, Master Johnson. Alfred Pennyworth, at your service.

Sam: Uh... just Sam is fine.

Dick: Ready to see the family, Sam?

Sam: You know it!

They walked through the doors into the foyer and towards the Great Hall. There, they were greeted by Jason Todd and Barbra Gordon, also known as Red Hood and Batgirl.

Jason: Welcome back, Dick. And Damien. Try not to get too comfortable.

Barbra: Nice to see you guys!

Dick: Jason, Barbra, this is Sam. Our newest Titan.

Sam: Uh, Morning...

Jason: So, you're the new guy Dick doesn't shut up about. Welcome to the club.

Barbra: Hi! I've heard so much about you, Sam. You've been an enormous help to the Titans this last month.

Sam: Nice to meet you, too. I look forward to working with you two!

Dick: Where's Bruce?

Jason: Downstairs.

Sam: You mean... the Batcave?

Jason: What else is downstairs here?

Dick: You want to see him, Sam?

Sam: Sure!

Rachel: We'll settle in.

Jon: Good luck, fresh meat!

Sam: What does that mean?

Dick: Don't worry.

Dick then leads Sam to the study room.

Sam: Oof, don't tell me... You have a secret switch in here somewhere, and it opens a door to the cave...

Dick: Nah.

Dick then pulls a book off the shelf, which opens a bookcase to the right of them, revealing a dark staircase down.

Dick: We have a book that opens a bookcase to enter the cave.

Sam: Ah... Now that's sick.

They proceeded to walk down the stairs, descending deeper below the Manor.

Sam: I heard you found this by luck. 

Dick: Yeah. The guy adopted me, and I just stumbled upon this passage. That's how I became Robin... then Nightwing.

Sam: That'll do it.

They eventually made it to the bottom and walked through another door, entering the Batcave. It was dark, but screens further down illuminated the cave. Bats soared above them.

Sam: Wow. No wonder he's called Batman.

Dick: He's usually at his desk.

They made their way to the back wall of the cave, where the Caped Crusader was sitting on his computer.

Dick: Hey, Bruce! How are you doing? Look who I brought!

He then turned his chair around to see Dick and Sam standing there, waiting for a response.

Bruce: Nice to see you, Dick. 

Dick: You too, Bruce.

Bruce: I've been following your efforts in Jump City, Sam. You've been handling yourself well.

Sam: Thank you... Mr. Wayne.

Bruce: Don't thank me now.

Sam: No, seriously. For giving me that chance.

Bruce: Hmm...

He turns around again to his computer.

Bruce: I've been looking into this Sionis you mentioned, Dick, and I might have discovered something.

Dick: What is it?

Bruce: For the last few weeks, I've been trying to catch a criminal known as Black Mask. His men have been spreading their forces evenly throughout the city. 

Sam: Nothing like that happened in Jump. 

Bruce: Correct. Because he's not there yet. I have reason to believe that Sionis and the Black Mask are the same person.

Dick: Greatest Detective...

Sam: So... he's in Gotham right now?

Bruce: Yes. With Cyborg's help, I might be able to pinpoint his location based on those generators you found. Tonight, we'll head out and see him.

Dick: And Deathstroke, too. He must be here as well.

Bruce: Maybe. For now, head back up to the manor. I'll be in touch.

Dick: You're not joining us?

Bruce: No.

Dick: Right... come on, Sam.

They both headed back up to the manor, leaving Bruce alone in his cave. Sam then headed for the guest room he was staying in and unloaded his stuff. He then started scrolling through his phone till lunch.

He then heard a knock on his door.

Sam: Come in!

Alfred: Good afternoon, Master Johnson. May I get you anything?

Sam: Uh... I'm good, thank you.

Alfred: Very well. Lunch will be in the dining room soon.

Sam: Alright.

Alfred: If you need anything, ask.

He then left the room, leaving Sam to resume his activities. As lunch time approached, Sam headed down to the Dining Hall. He sat down on the side next to Rachel, who was already there.

Sam: Hey...

Rachel: Hey.

Sam: You... settling in?

Rachel: I'll manage. How was meeting Batman for you?

Sam: Well, it was better than seeing him behind bars, so... I guess it was alright.

Rachel: Sounds normal.

Sam: Um... do you... wanna talk about.... yesterday?

Rachel: What's there to talk about? We're just friends, nothing more.

Sam: Oh uh... ok...

He felt a little shaken by that response. Truth be told, he was hoping for something a little lighter than that. Meanwhile, she was feeling the same way, but she had her reasons that she can't ignore right now.

Dick: We're here! Don't worry!

Dick and Kori walked in just in time before lunch was served.

Jason: You two seem happy about something.

Kori: Sorry, we got held up by... something.

They both sat down at the table, smiling about something.

Alfred: Here you go! 

Alfred hands out plates of food to everyone at the table. They started eating up, as some of them had a long night ahead of them.

Time passed, and it was now dark outside. It was a much different environment than Jump City to Sam. It seemed more... unknown. It wasn't long before he got a message on his communicator. It was Dick, informing him to suit up, as it was time to venture into Gotham City.

He quickly suited up, grabbed his sword, and headed for the cave.

Nightwing: Ah, there you are, Demi.

Demi: Sorry, slept in... where's everyone else?

Nightwing: It's only gonna be you, me, Cyborg, and Batman tonight. 

Demi: Is there something I'm missing here?

Batman: Yes. I need to evaluate you.

He appears from behind Demi.

Demi: Can you not do that?!

Batman: Hop in the Batwing. We're heading out now.

They all got into the Batwing as it started taking off, driven by Batman. They started soaring above the city.

Cyborg: I'm already picking up a reading similar to those generators. We're close.

Batman: Be ready.

Demi: For what?

All of a sudden, Demi gets ejected downwards and lands on the roof of the building, face-first.

Demi: Ow... why does this keep happening to me...

Everyone else landed on the roof right before the jet took off.

Cyborg: There. In that warehouse.

Batman: You and Cyborg wait here while we scope it out.

Batman and Nightwing soared down to the warehouse to analyze whether there was anyone in there. Demi and Cyborg waited patiently as they worked their magic.
