After a few days, the Bat Family managed to take out more of those generators, with the help of Demi. However, after saying their farewells, it was time for the Titans to return to the Tower in Jump City. 

When they got back, it was already the afternoon, but the day was still young. Sam and Rachel were relaxing in his room.

Sam: Well, I had a good time at the Manor. How 'bout you?

Rachel: It was nice.

Sam: You okay?

Rachel: Yeah. I just... I'm happy we talked the other night.

Sam: Me too. How is---

A knock was heard on the door before Dick walked in.

Dick: Hey, guys. How're you doing?

Rachel: I hope you have a good reason for barging in on us.

Kori is then seen walking in behind him.

Kori: We do. It's an urgent question.

Sam: What's up?

Dick: We've been thinking about a double date! The four of us, going to a restaurant or see a movie. It's been quite a hustle these past few days, so we figured it'd be good for all of us.

Sam: A... double date? 

Kori: Yeah. It doesn't have to be now, but we just thought it's a good time since it's already early in the evening.

Rachel: I'm intrigued.

Sam: Let's do it! I could use your help, actually, Dick.

Dick: Alright, it's settled! Our pick!

As Kori leaves the room, Rachel follows to let Sam and Dick talk.

Sam: I need something fancy?

Dick: Nope! You're all good to dress casually. Why?

Sam: I've never been on a date. How does it work? Do I... eat properly? Do I bring flowers?!

Dick: Relax! It's okay. Just be yourself. You've come this far with Rae, you might as well sit back to chill with her, you know?

Sam: I guess so...

Meanwhile, Rachel was talking to Kori in the hall.

Kori: How is he?

Rachel: Like an adorable mess.

Kori: You two seem so happy together! I'm happy for you, Rae.

Rachel: Thank you, Kori. I do... feel better around him. Is it like that for Dick?

Kori: Of course. It feels great to be happy with the person you love and cherish.

Rachel: Yeah...

Sam and Dick walked out into the hallway, ready to go.

Dick: You guys ready?

Kori: I'm ready. Are you ready, Rae?

Rachel: Yeah.

The four of them headed out to find a restaurant nearby. They found a pizza place near the shore, quiet and undisturbed. They quickly ordered and sat down before more people arrived.

Dick: Well, Sam. I must say, I'm still shocked.

Sam: About?

Dick: Everything. You managed to make a name for yourself, pull off stunts I could never imagine, and act like it isn't a big deal!

Kori: Yeah. Rae, you have an interesting boy.

Rachel: Oh, I know. He's easy to tease, too.

Sam: I am not!

Rachel: Really? So if I read your mind right now, you'd be calm?

Sam: ... Eh, you right.

Dick: He's not even denying it! What the hell!

Kori: Alright, Dick. Um... Sam. I wanted to ask you something, but... it might be personal to you.

Sam: What? Am I off the team?

Kori: Not at all. I just wanted to ask... Don't you miss your mother? You rarely talk about her.

Sam: I uh... I haven't uh...

Rachel: You don't have to answer that.

Sam: No, it's okay... I do, it's just... I don't know how to take it.

Kori: What do you mean?

Sam: She's my mom. Of course, I miss her. I have no idea what she's thinking right now, though. I have no way to talk to her and... I hope she's okay.

Rachel: I know...

Dick: Can I say something?

Sam: Sure.

Dick: When I lost my family, I wasn't sure if I'd ever be happy like that again. But when Bruce took me in and I found out about him, it was as if I had found a reason to be happy again. You found--

Rachel: GET DOWN!!

Rachel quickly forms a shield behind Dick before a beam of light hits him in the back. The dust settled before a man was seen stepping through the front doors.

Deathstroke: There you are. I missed you, Dick.

Dick: Deathstroke! 

Sam: Double date...

Kori: Where's Black Mask!?

Deathstroke: You'll never know

He pulls out his two swords before rushing at Dick, but Sam blocks his slash with his sword that swooped in just in time.

Deathstroke: I've had enough of you, kid.

A massive claw breaks through the glass, grabs Demi, and throws him out of the building onto the street.

Demi: Yep. He's pissed.

A huge mech lands in front of him as he gets up. It looks like a spider, but it has a claw for a tail, and it's controlled by someone inside.

Raven soars out of the building to help her boyfriend out a little. They engage the mech in combat, Demi quickly managing to cut off some of its legs and Raven shooting beams at it from above.

Together, they eventually took it down before it hurt anyone, knocking out the pilot. Deathstroke is then seen flying out of the building by Starfire.

Starfire: Where is he?

Deathstroke: I'd rather die!

She drops him to the ground for Demi to have him at the end of his sword.

Demi: You better talk, buddy. Or else my friend is gonna drop you a lot higher than that.

Deathstroke wastes no time, taking the end of Demi's sword and stabbing himself in the neck.

Demi: NO! 

Demi's usual calm demeanor was changed to shock and disbelief. He had never taken a life before. He throws his sword away and takes a few steps back, Raven catching him from behind.

Starfire: Oh no...

Dick walks out to see the sight: Deathstroke dead and Demi frightened to his core.

There was nothing but silence for a few moments. It was a lot to take in. Cops began to pull up.

Dick: Raven, take him back.

Raven nodded before opening a portal for her and Demi to walk through, but not before grabbing his sword. In an instance, they were back in her room at the Tower, Demi still shocked.

Demi: I... I didn't... I didn't mean--

Raven: I know, I know. It's not your fault. We all saw it. It's gonna be okay...

Demi: How can it be?! I just killed him! I've never... I've never taken a life before...

Raven: You didn't kill him! I know what I saw. Please relax, Sam. Dick is handling this, okay? It's all gonna be alright.

She gives him a big hug, doing her best to relieve him of the stress and fear he's going through. After a while, he eventually calms down, but the memory remains embedded in his mind.

Raven: Dick just came back. I need to talk to him. Can you try to relax here for a little bit?

Demi: I... um...

Raven: I promise, I'll be right back, Sam.

Demi: Okay...

Raven kisses him on the forehead before leaving the room, leaving him in his state of mind: confused and shaken.
