In the car ride to the Hall of Justice, Demi was taking a nap in the back, close to Raven.

Raven: Wake up, sleepy head.

Demi: Ugh... I don't want to...

Raven: Really?

Demi: Ok... ok... Are we here?

Raven: Almost. When we do, try not to make such a big deal out of it. It's rare we get to see the Justice League since they're on so many missions all the time.

Demi: Yeah, I've heard about that one.

When the car pulled up to the front doors of the Hall, there was already a woman in armor standing on the side waiting for them. She walked up to the car as soon as the young heroes stepped out of the back seats.

Wonder Woman: Welcome. I am Diana of Themyscira. It's a pleasure to have you here, Samuel Johnson.

Demi: Nice to meet you too... Just Sam is fine... Or Demi.

Raven: Good morning, Diana.

Superman is then seen soaring down to them to welcome them to the Hall of Justice.

Superman: Glad you could make it, Sam.

Demi: Damn, the glasses really do work on you.

Superman: Surprisingly. Ready?

Demi: Absolutely!

Superman opens the doors and walks Dem and Raven through the Hall. They see various artifacts and stories about the League's adventures through the years. However, there was one that caught Demi's eye.

Demi: What's this one?

Superman: That's a chest plate Batman put on me when I was corrupted on Apokolips. I barely remember it.

Demi: Apokolips?

Superman: Home World of Darkseid. He's a conqueror of worlds. Nightwing hasn't told you this yet?

Demi: Not everything.

Superman: He's a psychopath. We've stopped his efforts in the past, but we don't know his next move. We need to be ready for--

Wonder Woman: Kal-El.

Superman: Right. Moving on.

They then entered the main conference room in the back, where more JL members were already present, discussing missions.

Superman: Demi, that is Barry Allen, or The Flash.

Flash then runs up to Demi with his super speed.

Flash: heykidi'mflashnicetomeetyousorrygottago.

He then runs past him out the door, probably back to Central City.

Superman: He does that. Anyway, that's Arthur Curry, or Aquaman.

Aquaman: You the new kid?

Demi: That would be me. Nice to meet you.

Aquaman: This is the guy you talk about so much, Supes?

Superman: Yes. Every word about him.

Demi: So much popularity...

Superman: You've already met Cyborg, Diana, and Batman.

Green Lantern: Sorry, I'm late! Did I miss it?

A green light is seen charging through the doors behind them. It was Green Lantern.

Superman: Ah, Hal. Glad you could make it. You're just in time to say hi.

Green Lantern: It's nice to meet you, Sam. Word spreads quickly through space, believe it or not.

Demi: Oh yeah, that's not discomforting at all.

Superman: Shazam and most of our other members couldn't make it, but they'll swing by the Titans Tower when they can.

Flash is then seen running back into the room.

Flash: What did I miss?! Oh, hello again.

Demi: Flash. Robbery?

Flash: How'd you know?

Demi: Kid-Flash told me about your habits based on your timing.

Flash: Wow. Should've known.

Superman: Sam. It's almost time for you and Rachel to head back. Would you like to sightsee in Metropolis before you go?

Demi: Yeah, sure. Rae, is that ok with you?

Raven: Sure.

Superman: Alright then. Let's go.

Demi and Raven followed Superman out the door after saying goodbye to some of the League. As he flew up into the air, Demi used his grapple to get up onto buildings with Raven following closely.

Demi: Seems everyone but me can fly or something.

Superman: You recognize this place, Demi?

Demi: Oh, wow. This is the place I got thrown into. It's been demolished.

Superman: Yes. And look how far you've come since then.

Demi: What do you mean?

Superman: I mean, even though you've suffered through so much before you came here, you managed to become something more than what you were. You've helped people here; you gave them something to believe in. That takes courage, even for me. And I know we haven't spoken that much, but I'm proud of you, Sam.

Demi: Thanks...

Those words meant something to him. For the last few months, he's been trying to find his purpose in life, especially after what he endured during his childhood. But hearing Superman helped him understand who he is.

Raven: I think it's time we head back to the manor.

Superman: Yes, you best do that. Tell Batman I said bye, will you?

Demi: Yeah. Will do. Thank you again for this.

Superman: Don't thank me. Just keep up your good work, Sam.

Demi nodded at him before him, and Raven headed back to the car. When they got back to the manor, they were greeted by Dick and Kori again.

Dick: So?

Demi: So what?

Kori: How was it?

Demi: It was... nice. Different than what I expected, I guess...

Raven: Are you okay?

Demi: Yeah. I'm good.

She nods but knows something is up. She was going to talk to him later.

Dick: Well, that's good to hear. Dinner is almost ready. You'd better hurry before everyone else eats up, Sam.

Demi: Relax. I'm not CaseOh.

They went inside to eat after changing out of their suits. The dinner was like a Thanksgiving feast. The turkey, mashed potatoes, all of it. And it was delicious, or so Sam thought. When he looked at everyone else at the table, he started to feel a little bit... better. Rachel noticed his change in expression but didn't say anything about it.

Alfred: How is the food, Master Johnson?

Sam: It's great! You're a really good cook.

Alfred: Thank you. Please, enjoy.

After a long feast, Sam went back to his room, ready for bed after that turkey. Before he could, a knock was heard on his door.

Sam: Yeah?

Rachel: Can I come in?

Sam: Door's open.

She phased in. Typical. She sat down beside him and held his hand.

Sam: What's up?

Rachel: You tell me. You seem... happy.

Sam: After what Superman told me, I just... it all just hit me.

Rachel: What?

Sam: When I got here, I was pretty much all alone—just a depressed teen with a sword. When I met the Titans, I never really thought I could make it this far. But I did, and I wasn't even trying to. I made friends who I would consider... my family... And I'm happy that I can be a part of something like that. I know you'd like that too.

Rachel: You're right.

She pulled him in for a kiss again.

Rachel: And I'm happy that brought us together, Sam. I'm not leaving you, okay?

Sam: I know.

Rachel: I... Hope you don't mind if I sleep here tonight, right?

Sam: I don't mind.

They lay back in the bed after turning out the lights and cuddled up next to each other. Sam was happy. For once, he felt pleased to be loved like this. He may've found what he was looking for.
