Chapter 24 - Origins
Demi: How much longer, Rae?!
Raven: I need some time... It's deeper than I thought!
Raven began the process of healing the gem while Demi handled the demons Trigon sent to stop them. He quickly fought them off one by one, stabbing and decapitating any demon that stood in his way.
Demi: You know... I kinda think this is an awesome date!
Raven: Seriously? Now?!
Demi: Just trying to lighten the mood, Hun!
She smiled a little before focusing back on healing the gem. After a little bit, Demi took out all the demons.
Demi: Boom. How are you doing?!
Raven: I still need some time, but I'm close!
Just then, rumbling can be felt in the ground. And then, a huge portal opens up in front of Demi. Trigon had arrived. He walked through to see the two Titans at work. Trigon descended to the ground as the portal closed behind him.
Trigon: I thought I killed you, boy.
Demi: Eh, what can I say? I'm too good at living!
Trigon: You believe you can stop me? Don't make me laugh. You may have taken my daughter, but you are nothing but a sad child.
Demi: Yeah, yeah, we get the point, pal.
Trigon: I know what has happened. You have been through much in your youth. But none of it can prepare you for the destruction of this world!
Demi yawns in boredom.
Demi: Are you done?
Demi's dissatisfaction infuriated Trigon even more.
Trigon: Very well.
He zoomed towards Demi, grabbed him by the throat, and threw him to the field below. Demi landed quickly by impaling his Sword into the ground, slowing his knockback.
Trigon: It's a shame you have to die by my hand. However, I'll grant you one last fight for you to remember.
He slammed his fist to the ground, creating a shockwave of darkness to knock Demi off balance. However, he quickly leaped towards Trigon to try and slash his head, but he blocked it and pushed him back.
They engaged once more in combat. Demi was more fierce than usual. He was perfect at dodging and parrying Trigon's punches and magic. At one point, Demi managed to stab Trigon's abdomen and cut through to the right side.
Trigon: Argh! You dare?!
He shot lasers out of his eyes towards Demi, who was blocking them with his Sword, but it pushed him back to the wall. Trigon grabbed him by the throat and slammed him to the ground.
Trigon: Not even you can stop my might, boy!
Demi wasted no time and delivered a furious kick to his jaw, dislocating it. He got out of the way as Trigon let him go to fix his jaw.
Demi: Nu uh, buddy. We're doing this God of War-style.
Trigon: I will end you!
They started the combat back up. This time, Trigon was unleashing more of his power towards Demi, who was now narrowly handling it. Trigon managed to grab him by the leg and throw him across the debris, sending him further away from the structure.
Demi: Ugh... I need a Coca-Cola right now...
Trigon got to him and grabbed him with both hands, like he was about to squish him.
Trigon: Admit it, boy! You've lost! This world will burn! Starting with you!
Demi: First... and final... time.
He cracks something in his hand, exploding in blue fire, and knocking Trigon back.
Demi: My name is Demi Spider! And as PlayStation Jesus, you are not going to heaven! Obviously.
He became much faster, and his strength was through the roof. He managed to slash more cuts at Trigon until he exploded in his dark energy.
Trigon: Hngh... You... you will not---
Demi: What? Kill you? Maybe I can't... But here's a good question. Was I even trying to?
Trigon looked behind him to see that Raven had finished healing the crystal and began conjuring up the spell to seal him back in it.
Trigon: NO!
Demi kicked Trigon up into the air, jumped up to him, and began delivering a flurry of punches, infused with fire and lightning.
Demi: Goku would be so proud!
Trigon: You... Argh!
Demi kicks him towards the ground of the structure. He pulls out his Sword and begins spinning in a circle, building up the fire and lightning.
Demi: Get owned, pal!
He then shoots towards Trigon while spinning. Trigon tries using his laser eyes to stop him, but the power is too much. Demi spun right into his chest, knocking him clean out. He flipped on him and landed gracefully over his body.
Demi: You don't ever mess with the God of Thunder. Ever.
The blue fire around him faded, and he returned to normal.
Raven: Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!
She finished the spell. Chains took Trigon's arms into the portal connected to the gem before he could wake up. But he had some words before he was entrapped in the gem again.
Trigon: I will be back... I will---
Demi punched him in the face as his head disappeared into the portal.
Demi: Shut up for once...
Demi fell to the ground in pain as the portal closed. The madness ended. Raven ran to him to keep him up.
Raven: You... you did it.
Demi: We did it.
He hugged her tightly. She hugged back after a second.
Raven: I don't deserve you...
Demi: Oh, come on. That's my line.
She kissed him, feeling rewarded after this victory over the devil. They broke the kiss after a minute.
Raven: Here. I'll get you back.
She helped him up, grabbed the gem, and opened a portal back to Metropolis. When they got out, the sky had changed back to blue, and the demons were vanishing. The Teen Titans and the Justice League saw them.
Nightwing: You guys are okay!
Starfire: Oh my god!
They both ran up to them and hugged them tightly. The others ran up to them.
Beetle: What happened?
Demi: We won. That's what happened.
Green Lantern: You defeated that monster?
Demi: Not necessarily. But he shouldn't be a problem for a while.
Suparman placed his hand on Demi's shoulder.
Superman: I'm proud of you, Sam. Great work.
The Titans started cheering while most of the Justice League members started clapping, except for Batman, who just stood there and smirked a little. Just then, citizens of Metropolis came out and started cheering for him, feeling saved.
Demi stood out there and saw them all cheering. He smirked before giving them a thumbs-up. Green Lantern made it enjoyable and summoned fireworks for the audience.
