The portal finally opened, and Demi fell through it onto a rooftop. It was dark out, but the moon showed it all. The city, the atmosphere, all of it was just how he remembered it.

Demi: I'm back... Mom.

He looked around and saw he was on the same roof he had found the device on. He started running across the rooftops back to his apartment window. He slowly creaked it open and jumped in.

Demi: Mom?

He notices his room has barely changed at all. It was as if it had never been touched. Just then, his mom, Cassie, opened up the door to see her son still in one piece.

Cassie: Sam!

She ran to him and hugged him.

Cassie: Where have you been all week?!

Demi: All... week?

Cassie: Yes! You haven't called me or anything. What happened?

Demi: I'll... explain. It's just... It's so good to see you, Mom!

He hugged her again, relieved to see her face again. For the night, he caught her up on everything that happened. 

Cassie: Oh my god... Sam...

Sam: I know, I know. What was I thinking? What was I gonna do?

Cassie: No. Sam... I'm so proud of you, honey.

Sam: You are?

Cassie: I've tried for so long to help you forgive yourself for what happened to your father. But now it seems like you went from being so depressed to now being so much happier.

Sam: Yeah, well. Let's say I had a traumatizing experience, okay?

Cassie: Right... and this uh... Rae girl. You fell in love?

Sam: Absolutely. But... I already miss her.

They continued to chat through the night. Eventually, Cassie went to bed, happy to know her son had changed. Meanwhile, Demi was up on the roof, observing the stars.

Demi: What now?

He stared up, thinking of what to do next, until sirens could be heard in the city.

Demi: Good old New York...

He stood up, used his grapple, and started parkouring across the rooftops. Once he got into the city, he noticed a woman was being robbed below in the alley.

Woman: Let me go!

Thug 1: Give me the money!

Thug 2: Hurry up, man!

Demi: Hey, fellas! Didn't your mothers teach you not to mess with a woman like that?

The thugs looked up to see Demi perched on the ledge of the roof.

Thug 2: Ah shit! It's him!

Thug 1: Shoot him!

The thugs fired shots at him, but Demi already jumped down with his Sword and charged at them in lightning, ready to take on whatever challenges lie ahead of him, for he was feared as PlayStation Jesus!
