Normandy SR2 Shepards quarters

Shepard sitting on his desk reading data from the illusive man about the shadow broker. If Zs'Skayr is in Omega. Shepard then needs to prepare Ben because from the Shepard perspective Ben lashing out like that is not going to help him. Then there Jacob he needs to find his farther ship the, Gernsback.

Flashback

As Shepard was walking to the elevator, he gets caught up by.

"Shepard" Shepard turns.

"Jacob, what wrong" Jacob looks around.

"Now that your well free at the moment, I need your help, and I do not usually go to my superiors with this. My farther ship The Gernsback disappeared 10 years ago. I recently picked up a com Bowie, a distress signal."

Shepard eyes widen. "That a long time is this signal recent? And your farther, is he the captain of the ship?"

Jacob Shakes his head "No he the first officer I believe, and the yes, the signal recent. It is kind of scary that…..."

Shepard puts his hand up "I know we check it out after I sort a few things out first." Jacob nods and spoke up.

"You should also see the other crew members sir. I notice I am not the only one with personal problems at the moment" Shepard nods in appreciation and thanks Jacob. He leaves heading towards his quarters.

Flashback End

Shepard right now is in need of a plan. Shepard thought process at the moment is how is he going to find Eon and Zs'Skayr first.

Shepard thoughts were released from his mouth. "If they on Omega, then I need to reach out to… hmm I should warn Aria. EDI!" he shouted out. "Prepare the conference room, I about to make a call."

"Yes commander" EDI responded.

And with that Shepard heads to the conference room to make a call to Aria t'loak. Leader of Omega and is Omega.

Normandy SR2 Conference room

A few minutes later.

"Aria You there?" Shepard called out

Aria is a tall slim Asari with a white leather jacket and black leather trousers with a Black leather strapped Top. She Runs Omega with iron fist. A Boss of Bosses. She has shares with several well-known merc gangs. She gave intel to Shepard on Mordin and Garrus (aka Archangel). Right now, she in hologram form.

"Now this is a surprise Shepard to what do I oh the pleasure of this call" Aria said sitting on her long comfortable leather sofa.

"You know that pad I showed you a while back that had info on eclipse mercs planning to overthrow you." Shepard said.

Aria nods, smile on her face. "Yes, and I had the pleasure of helping them restructure they forces here because of it. Thank you"

Shepard smirk and ever the diplomat. "You're welcome and of course. You do not fuck with Aira."

Aira looks at Shepard with a raised eyebrow "This is why I prefer you over to your… well. Shepard while I love to sit and chat. you do not normally call people like me unless something out there, usually it involves Reaper."

Shepard folds his arms "True. I now know who gave those mercs that info about you and how to hit you."

Aria looks intrigued and leaned forward. "Do you now. Do tell the class Shepard."

"Two people, one called Eon, he wears purple armour and there his partner Zs'Skayr. Here is what we humans call a Ghost. A phantom. Someone who intangible."

Aira rises an eyebrow "By any chance do they look like these two" Aria showing an image of eon and Zs'Skayr next to each other talking to some merchants.

Shepard nods "Unfortunately"

Aria Nods back smiling. "Thanks for the Heads-up Shepard I keep an eye out for then if they try anything here. Like you perfectly illustrated, No one fucks with Aria. I am also taking a wild guess here that you want to be called if they do something right?"

Shepard nods "one of my crew members knows both of them. He has experience with them before. From what we can gather they not people who you want to mess with easily."

Aira was Intrigued by this "by any chance does this have to do with a shapeshifter with an hourglass symbol."

"Yes. But…."

"Contacts in Illum told me" Shepards nod makes sense considering omega and Illum are one and the same. just one deals with it legally and the other through rough housing.

"Well, he was Angry to say the least" Shepard said.

"How angry we are talking about here?" Aria asked even more intrigued.

"Almost destroyed my ship, even with Silaris Armour bult in."

Aria eyes widen "That powerful." Shepards nods agreeing "I get Gazz to call you when we have something and do me a favour. I want in if they disrupt my Omega. then I want payback"

Shepards nods smiling "I can agree to that."

Aria smiles back "Pleasure doing Business Shepard." The she cuts the call.

Shepard hums to himself "time to talk to the crew" Shepard goes off to talk to the crew about their personal problems. He now has time to help Jacob with his problem.

"Joker set a course for to Aeia!" Shepard ordered to his pilot.

"Aye, Aye, commander"

Normandy SR2 Medical Bay

A few hours later

"Urrggg" Ben body started to feel his wait as he started to wake up.

"Ah good to see you awake Tennyson."

Ben look to the side "Doc?"

Chalkwas nods doing a quick scan on Ben "you got people worried after your stunt." Ben nods thinking back at what happened with Zs'Skayr. The silenced was thick in the air.

"So different Universe huh?" Chalkwas asked raising an eyebrow.

"URRG. Zs'Skayr Told Shepard did not he" Ben scowled out.

Chalkwas nods "you don't deny it?" as she still scans.

Ben nods "if Zs'Skayr is here, then at this point what to hide."

Chalkwas smiles "I am sure everything will work out, but I need to know. Why did you leave your home for this one"?

Ben struggles to speak on the matter "I should. I feel alone, I feel… I miss then."

Chalkwas notice Ben struggle "We should set up appointment to talk about this, and you are not alone Tennyson. I do not know why you left your world behind, but you cannot keep this bottled up, and that reaction with Zs'Skayr just proves it."

Ben Nods and sets up future appointments down the line. Then leaves to find solace in his life old and in his new one.

Normandy SR2 Miranda office

"Mamm"

Miranda looks up from the computer with ship next to her also looking up. "Was it Hawthorne."

"Thought you like to know That Tennyson awake, Chalkwas sent me to deliver the message. I was meant to get the message to Shepard but…"

"He off helping Jacob. Thank you, Hawthorne, dismissed" Hawthorne Salutes and turns to leave.

"You ready to go Ship."

"Ship, Ship" nods Miranda smiles at ship. Then their head to find Ben.

Normandy SR2 Crew Deck. Outside the Elevator Door

"Benjamin" Ben looks around to see Thane coming out of life support.

"Thane, how is it going?"

Thane smiles "it is going well. I am of to get some food. How are you fearing after your collapse. You left a few of us quite worried."

Ben frowns but wave it off. "I'm doing alright, just want to take it easy, you know."

Thane nods "I do have some meditation techniques that might help, to help with your issues."

Ben looks down. Head in shame. "Thanks Thane, I appreciated it."

Thane Smiles then frowns "Benjamin, sometimes it just good to let go of pain of our past."

Ben frowns "I'm guessing everyone knows now about me."

Thane nods "about your travel but not about your past. It be good to talk about it someday."

Ben frowns hand covering his face. "I do not know, I already got Chalkwas telling me and making appointments with her. But…"

Thane crosses his arms behind his back "You lack the trust for the people around here and everywhere."

Ben Nods not smiling about it. He wants to trust them, he wants to move on from everyone and everything he misses but now tears shatter across his face, coming down like a rainstorm. Then the elevator doors open, Empty on the inside.

"I see you a bit Thane."

Thane nods Not smiling. But he looks at Ben with a solemn promise to help him "speak to you soon Benjamin" The elevator doors shut.

"You know eavesdropping does not help him build trust" Thane called out. Miranda comes out the shadows, with ship in hand Looking solemn.

"You did not mention Eon."

"Shepard has the right to tell him about that. It also does not feel like the right time considering he just awoken." Miranda nods at that agreeing with it. Not saying anything between each other. Thane nods back and go their separate ways.

Aeia

Aeia is a forest like planet, which has a rich jungle and peaceful surroundings with a sea that cover most of the horizon. The shuttle laned just outside the crashed Gernsback. It look like half its hull was torn a sunder.

"What the Hell, that was not normal" Jacob said as he led on. They were speaking to a woman earlier before they were attack by Males with SMGs.

Kasumi nods follows Jacob. "It looks like whatever the floorer does, makes males more aggressive.

"Look let us keep moving and see what we can find. For now, keep you weapons armed and ready, use stun if necessary. But if the males are forceful do not hold back" Shepard said as he let Jacob take the lead on the mission Jacob and Kasumi nods.

"Like whom be stupid enough to eat the local plant life if it toxic. From the logs it seems these people are regression, back to the stone ages." Kasumi points out.

Shepards nods and orders out commands. "Kasumi cloak ahead. make sure we got no more surprises. Jacob cover the front I got the real" Both nods.

A few minutes later

Shepard and Jacob kept walking forward when Shepard omni-tool blinked. It was a call from Kasumi.

"Shep" over the Omni-tool

"What is it Kasumi?"

"They a settlement here, full of females and only females."

Both Shepard and Jacob stopped walking. They stood there for a good few minutes before looking at each other with an understanding of what going on here.

"We on the way stay cloak till we reach their!" Shepard ordered.

"You got it shep" The call was cut.

3 minutes later

As they arrived at the settlement and catch up with Kasumi, they see only females and a worship statue liker Kasumi said.

"Jesus That borderline worship!" Jacob exclaims. seeing the statue in front of them.

A random female approaches the group and shouts. "You have his Face, He said he protect he said lied. Used us"

"Not the greatest family resemblance Jacob" Shepard stated.

"Something not right here Shepard, my farther this…"

"We get answers Jacob. count on it" Kasumi Said with a high grin. Shepard nods agreeing with that.

"Come on let's get moving" Jacob said clearly wanted to get answers, so they did, moving across the settlement till they hear "Please no!"

All three look at four mechs attacking an innocence settlement female "Your master demand satisfaction" The mech one said.

All three charge, Shepard fires of a Cryo Blast to stop them, Jacob pulls the mech forward with his biotics then shoots with his shotgun.

Kasumi overloads the rest with chain Overload she created to Help in her extra activities.

"Nice work Kasumi" Shepard praised.

"Thanks, Shep"

Jacob rushes on ahead "you're, okay?"

settlement female startled. "Yes, hard to speak, please look" She shoves a data pad to Jacob chest. Jacob looks through it and the more he read the more the pales. seeing emotional destruction that caused the people to act like this.

"What it say Jacob" Shepard ask inquisitively.

"This cannot be right it says, it says captains and any Highers ups got to enjoy the spoils of food from the supplies while the crew have to ingest the local flora, which can cause, hallucinations, regression, speech impediment. Something not right Shepard the father I knew, the one that raised me would not let these people suffer like this."

Shepard Frown hearing that, He himself has always respect the chain of command but does have to deal with leaders who act like they a captain of a dictatorship. Shepard turns around to the surroundings and sees a beat up mech with crates behind it. Shepard smirk. A mech core can explode if given the right hack.

"Kasumi Set that down mech to explode, so we have a passage through."

Kasumi Grins "Aye, Aye, shep"

"Jacob Lets go" Jacob nods realising he needs to confront his farther. They push forward seeing corpses left right and piled up. It was a gruesome scene, mechs fighting hunters (the males). As they fight the way forward, they hear Ronald Taylor (Jacob Father) over loudspeaker calling for help, claiming these hunters are crazy. Jacob Murttered bullshit. Shepard and Kasumi overload mechs stopping them in the tracks. Jacob even throw some of them of the edge with his biotics. They shoot through a horde of mechs till they reach a heavy mech and male humans guarding a gate.

"Shit Heavy mech" Shepard shouts out. They spread out taking cover but have to move every so often so they can avoid the mech rockets. They shoot it shields and use as many overloads as possible to sabotage it. They now reach the Armor. Again, the shoot, but it not as strong as before as armour on heavy Mech are tough. Shepard fires of as many warps he can to destroy it. Hunters appear aiding the heavy mech.

"shit" Kasumi grumbles "They don't look happy."

"The Heavy mech covering the Hunters while the Hunters are…."

"Spraying Themo clicks at us" Shepard finish for Jacob. "It looks like the armour down; Kasumi go cloak and reach for the head unit." Kasumi nods and does do that. Shepard looks at Jacob "come on we cover her" Jacob nods and both he and Shepard open firing while not aiming so that target is on them. They try and not hit Kasumi giving her a chance. While Kasumi cloaked. She gets behind the mech jumps on his back to the top of his shoulders and rips apart the head. Then ticking noise appears.

"Kasumi Run!" Shepard shouts and Kasumi does not need to be told twice she knows what happens when a heavy mech explodes without his head unit. The heavy mech explodes like a small nuclear winter killing the rest of the loyal hunters that seemed to serve Jacob farther.

"Well, that was fun" Kasumi Grins

"And here I thought you where all stealth" Shepard joke in retorts.

Kasumi Giggles "A lady must have fun once and a while."

"Come on, it's time to have a chat with my late father." Jacob said marching up toward the gates. Shepard and Kasumi look at each other. Then followed behind.

They walk up suspense is in the air. You can even hear a pin drop as they move closer to...

"Ah thank goodness you come, these people they turn on me," Robert Tayer spoke, in a pain voiced.

"It bit late to ask for help don't you think" Jacob angrily retorts.

Ronald Stutters a bit at that but casual reposed with "look supplies were low and everyone was fine until."

"Until you forced feed you 'small little kingdom' to the point they went crazy and now you want out. Bet you loved it up here in your 'fancy mansion.' Living of the said low supplies that can last more than 10 years" Jacob anger was bubbling to the surface, and it was showing.

Ronald blinked at that "looked I trying to…"

"Survive, I get that Taylor but what you did here is barbaric to the point I would have shot you myself if it not for my friend here," Shepards tilted his head to Jacob. Shepard turns to Kasumi "Kasumi watch the gates" Kasumi nods pistol out, heading back to the gate.

"Jacob this is your show, tell your father how you feel" Shepard finished.

Ronald eyes widen and looks at "Jacob, No, no this… you were not meant…"

"What? See you like this, well to little too late. Your no father of mine after what you did here" He points a gun at him angry eyes flashes at his Father. Ronald hands in the air, eyes fear seeing what he has done.

"Jacob, I get it" Shepard putting his hand on Jacob shoulder "but he not worth it." Jacob turns to Shepard "You have three choices, leave him here to fend for himself, shoot him, or bring him in for Alliance tribunal. With the evidence we gathered here it will not be hard to prove him guilty"

Jacob scowling at that, contemplating his choices, his hands struggling, "Alliance" Shepard nods smiling. He himself would have shot Ronald Taylor but, it was not his choice it was Jacobs. Shepard turns to see Kasumi having her gun out on the hunters. Shepard has his two long fingers on his earpiece.

"EDI, we need pickup."

"Yes commander"

"Joker let alliance command that the survivors of the Gernsback have been found."

"Aye, Aye Commander"

"Jacob I'm…" Robert try to speak the air was suffering.

"Save it because you are not the father who raised me. Your just some filth who took advantage of his crew." Jacob looks at Shepard "let's go" Shepard nods.

"let's" And they do but not before containing the hunters and Ronald at the female settlement tie up. when the shuttle arrive, they head back to the Normandy. Leaving Jacob past and a single tear appears on both of the Taylors.
