The Citadel: the Zekera wards.

Shepard and Ben are walking back from the meeting with the council. Shepard spoke up as they walk through the wards, heading back to Normandy Docking port. "So now that meeting is out of the way. Ben, I need you to help Thane out with his problem, while I deal with Garrus."

Ben nods at Shepard as they walk towards the lower wards back to the Normandy Airlock.

"What Thane issuers at the moment?" Ben asks so he has an understanding of the mission parameters.

Shepard looks at the approaching Thane, Zaeed, and Garrus. He turns to Ben quickly explaining.

"Thane has a son that is going to make a mistake. One that will cost him. So stealth is applied here. Make sure you are not seen. From what we have been told he is planning to assassinate someone we just do not know who."

Ben's eyes bulged out and nodded "I can use Chamalien. He can turn invisible and climb walls. It would be better than using a big chill, I might freeze most of the bystanders.

Shepard nods at that. The three companions arrive in front of the two.

"Thane, Garrus, Zaeed." Shepard greeted. All three nod back.

"I already asked some of my C-sec contacts. Shepard we can meet Fade at the factory sector of the Wards."

Shepard nods and looks at Thane "Talk to Bailey, he will help you find your son."

Thane smiles appreciatively, bowing.

Zaeed gruff voice says "I wish you luck in helping your kid out. God knows how many falls into this life because of a mistake made by a parent."

Garrus chimes in. side eying Zaeed. "Is that from personal experience Zaeed."

Ben wanting to not waste time "We better get going Thane. I am fairly sure that time right now is running low in catching your son." Thane nods in agreement.

Shepard also nods in agreement "Call us if there are problems." So, the groups split off. With Shepard and Zaeed Helping Garrus down in the industry sector of the citadel. While Ben helps Thane with his son in the lower wards.

C-Sec office - Zekera wards sector.

Ben and Thane Walk in the C-sec office side by side. Ben asked as he walked up to a desk where an old man with Box cut hair was sitting. "Are you Captain Bailey?" He was wearing a blue and black Uniform with padding on the chest area.

Bailey looks up from his paperwork to see a Kid and a Drell "Yes, I am and who might you gentlemen be?"

"I am Ben Tennyson, and my friend here is called Thane krios. We are looking for his son. who I might add is about to commit a crime."

Bailey regarded them for a minute... "Well, if the new Spectre says he needs help. Then who am I to argue?"

Ben whistle "News travel fast here then"

Bailey smirks "Like you would not believe it."

Thane just stands there quietly to the side but adds in the details of what kolyat looks like to Bailey.

Bailey goes on the hub "Now let us see here. We do not get many Drells here, so this should not be too difficult. Ah here we go, the one you are looking for spoke to Mouse not too long ago, he was on the upper level of Zekera wards."

Thane raised his left eye "Mouse?"

Bailey shrugs "Petty criminal mainly stays around the vents but does have contacts."

Ben eyed Bailey "So he is a middleman then."

Bailey nods, shrugging "Pretty much."

Ben put out his hand "thanks for your help. If we find anything we let you know"

Bailey shakes Ben's hand and looks at Thane "I failed my kids. You are trying to save yours. If you need anything. Let me know"

Both nod and head back out to Zekera wards leaving C-sec.

Thane looks at Ben. "You did not tell him about the assassination plot."

Ben shrugs, "We do not know who the target is yet. Plus having that crime stated out in the open is going to attract attention, we do not want that."

Thane nods "No we do not. Let us go talk to mouse."

Upper-level Zekera ward

"Mouse!"

Mouse turns around and seeing Thane in an instant has brought back memories "Oh shit Thane."

Ben chuckles, "I'm not going to ask how you two know each other because it is too obvious." He looks at the mouse "I am just going to make it simple. We are looking for another Drell. His son in fact. If you tell us who the hit is. No one would know you are involved. As a spectre you have my word."

Mouse hands up in a panic "Wait, they kill me if I tell you."

Thane puts his hand on Mouse's shoulder and leans in "You have my word, that nothing will come to you, I just want to save my son. Please." Thane sounded desperate. Though who can blame him his son about to kill someone for the first time?

Mouse huffs hand to his face. He moaned out. "Elias Kelham wanted a hit. I sent your son his way."

Thane smiles, I appreciated "Thank you mouse."

Mouse moans "yes well do not thank me when I am dead. Please do not ever speak to me again Thane" Mouse walks away.

Ben looks at Thane with concern "You good Thane."

Thane sighs heavily "That could not be easy for a mouse. He knew more about my life that kolyat ever did."

Thane eyes then went blank white "He smiles up at my broken teeth in scabby knees bare feet black a dead-end future looking up at me worshipping the petty gifts I offer." He that in a fast-paced motion like it was a memory recanted "I was the only good thing he had back then, but I left him as I left Kolyat."

Ben was solemn, understanding this part of Thane as he has read the history of the Drell because of his transformation.

"Come on, we need to speak, Bailey." Ben said. Letting Thane breath a bit. Thane nods back appreciating Ben Patience.

C-Sec office - Zekera wards sector.

Ben and Thane Walk back into C-sec and straight for Bailey.

"Bailey, we got a name. We need to talk to him. Can you have him picked up for us."

Bailey looks up from his desk from his paperwork. "You speak to Mouse then. Alright, I set up the interview room. Who do you need picked up"?

Ben answers "Elias Kelham. He hired Thane's son for a hit."

Bailey rub his now scrunch up nose "Fuck."

Ben raised an eyebrow "Problem?"

Bailey sighs "something like that. We have an arrangement. I let things go on the slide and in return, he gives me…... Tickets for the C-sec gala."

Thane looks at Bailey with pity. Ben just snorts "I am a Spectre, I can get him to talk, without him knowing you brought him in. So, bring him in."

Bailey nods, sighing. Looking at another officer asking them to bring in Elias Kelham

5 minutes later

"Do you know who I am, Get Bailey here now or I have your Jobs!" Elias exclaims while being dragged in by two C-sec officers. One Turian and one human female. to interrogation.

"Is he always that annoying?" Ben asks like he already knew the answer.

Bailey who just appeared behind, so Elias will not see him. "When something does not go his way. Yes, pretty much."

Ben looks at Thane "I got a plan, and it will be pretty fast but whatever you do. you are not to laugh" Ben then turns to Bailey. "You too Bailey"

Thane nods. Bailey shrugs, not getting the point.

Ben reaches for his watch. Slams it Down. Green light flashing the C-Sec office.

People started laughing at Ben from even Bailey could not help but chuckle. Thane was hiding his Omni-tool to record this form. There is a bet going on which form can scare everyone shitless. They have not met Toepick yet.

Pesky dust exclaims "I will be back in a few! And stop laughing" He pointed at everyone.

Interview room

"The fuck are you!?" Elias Exclaims seeing Pesky Dust float in his strapped chair.

Pesky dust rolled their pixel eyes "Just shut up and go to sleep." Clouds of dust appear as pesky dust hovers over Elias. Elia eyes started to slumber in wait of the Dust.

Another 5 minutes later

Pesky Dust floats back out of interrogation and a red light appears just before he walks back with Thane and Bailey. Another man who Ben assumed is a lawyer is with them.

"Where is my client! You have no right!" 'Yep, that a lawyer alright' Ben thought. He stepped forward to stop this from reaching political nuclear.

"In interrogation having a sleep, or a nightmare. forgot which maybe but this was when I asked him some questions."

"That is a violation of his rights!" he lawyer shouted point directly in Ben face.

"Not when I am a spectre. Now git." The lawyer blanched and ran straight to his client.

Bailey raised an eyebrow "Nightmare?"

Ben smirks "Pesky dust can make people relive some of their most terrifying memories. Or good ones depends on how feel really."

"I see… Got a name for the hit?" Bailey asked.

"Joram Talid"

"Shit"

"I have not been giving you the best of news have I." Ben quipped.

"Not really, no. Talid a Turian politician all about security and perception of the welfare of the citadel citizens. Besides humans of course."

"So, we are saving a racist Turian wonderful. I do love to hate my job sometimes." Bailey smirks at Ben retort.

Thane chimes in "we have no time to question the beliefs of this man."

Bailey nods and looks at an officer. "Rookie, get these two patrol cars to the 800 blocks." The rookie salutes. "Yes sir."

Ben raises an eyebrow "How old is that rookie. He looks to be fifty."

"Oh, that John Nolen. He was nicknamed the Rookie because that was his age when he joined. I thought he was a charity case to be honest." Bailey explained shrugging.

Thane nods and points up to the railings. "Follow Talid on the maintenance catwalks. Tell me what he is doing. The Krogan bodyguard will make him easy to follow."

Thane walks a slight further in "The darkest corner with the best view" He puts his hands together and prays. As he did this Chamalien cloak behind him. "Amonkira. Lord of hunters. Grant that my hands be steady, my aim be true and my feet swift and should the worst come to pass grant me forgiveness…" The room went dark.

3 minutes later

Thane over the comes "You see him."

Chamalien was hanging on the walls following Talid. He eyes him with his Krogan Bodyguard. "Yeah, I see him. Quite sure his guard is a Blood pack Member."

"Keep following him and make sure you do not lose him. I contacted Bailey. I know Blood packs are not welcome here." Thane responded.

"Understood" Chamalien followed Talid around making. He followed him talking to patrons. Threatening store clerks. Talking to more Blood pack guards. Chamalien asked Thane if Security here in the citadel was always this shit.

Thane responded with over the coms ". I counted at least no fewer than fourteen different fatal flaws a skill an assassin can exploit. Eight of them existed over ten years ago. When I first visited the citadel.

5 minutes later as they were following Talid near the apartment complex of the 800 blocks.

Chamalien was looking around to see if kolyat was around and low and behold. He appeared.

"Thane, I see a Drell. wearing a blue overcoat similar to yours." Chamalien said running up.

Thane appeared behind on the ground level and was running beside him. "That Kolyat. Stop him before he gets in trouble."

"Don't have to tell me twice" Ben jumps from the maintenance catwalks to the ground. Hitting the Omnitrix also.

"X.L.R.8!" Ben in his velociraptor form speeds up to grab Kolyat by his claws.

"Not so fast Kolyat" X.L.R.8! Pinned Kolyat by the wall. Making him drop his gun.

Kolyat is shocked by this sudden appearance but that does not deter him from his goal. He tries to escape. "Let me go!"

"Not till your father gets here" X.L.R.8! Explained.

"What, my father here… Why?" Kolyat had a distant look on his face. It looked very pained.

"He's trying to stop you from making…"

"What is going on here?" X.L.R.8! was interrupted by Talid of all people.

Both Kolyat and X.L.R.8 turned their heads to see Joram Talid walking up to them.

X.L.R.8 answers "Spectre Business. Please can you get back sir."

Joram Talid narrows his eyes at the Hourglass symbol "Ah yes, the human shapeshifter. You know I do not approve that humans should wield such power. Or be a Spectre for that matter."

X.L.R.8! snorted "good to know I got your approval. Now if you be so kind, I believe the boy father is behind you,"

"What..." Joram turns around and sees Thane there "Where the hell did you come from?"

Thane ignore him and walks up to Kolyat "I'm sorry."

Kolyat eyes harden "for abandoning me, going off killing people. Do you know what it is like to not ..." He was interrupted by C-sec.

"Stop what's going here" X.L.R.8 moaned at the second interruption. As two Turian C-sec officers appeared.

Joram was the one who started "ah officer, this shapeshifter was attacking these two Drell…."

X.L.R.8 snorts and interrupts Joram "Spectre Business. Tell Captain Bailey to come here, we might need his assistance. Oh, and please make sure no one interrupts us. Please and thank you."

The C-sec officers looked at the hourglass figure and nodded "Yes Sir. Bailey is already on his way. When the call came in about a Drell and you sir"

X.L.R.8 nods "Alright. oh, and keep Joram at a distance. Better yet have him arrested. He was being guarded by Blood pack Krogan."

The Krogan guard in question had his hands up "Woah I not with the blood pack" The C-sec officers moaned.

"Brukmar," one of the C-sec shouted recognising the Krogan. The other turned to Tennyson. "Sorry sir but they are not with the Blood pack. They are in fact a small mercenary group. That keeps on getting fined. Wearing that Armor. They cannot afford any others because of their many fines."

"Oh, well as a spectre I authorized them getting new armours on my Tab." X.L.R.8 ordered. The C-sec offers felt relief all over the bodies. So was the Krogan. He was annoyed that the Fines are not going away but hey better than nothing.

The officers then followed the other orders to move Talid out of the way. Joram had no choice. He knew the shapeshifter was a spectre and they have full authority of the law and outside of the law.

Thane and Kolyat talked for a few minutes. Ben De-transform and another 5 minutes later Bailey arrived.

"Took you long enough. I was able to stop Kolyat before the crime was committed. So, your welcome"

"Good. The process will be easy then. Joram not pressing charges after he found out why you grabbed the kid. Though he was not happy you saved him."

"Meh," Ben shrugged, not caring in the slightest.

"Anyway, we get those two back to processing at headquarters and let them have a private chat" Bailey said as he ordered his men to do just that.

"Good They need it they going to…..." His Omni Flashed.

"Ben, we need backup at the factory sector. We are fighting off waves of heavy mechs and…. WHY THE GOD DAMM FUCK ARE THEY SO MANY HEAVY MECHS HERE… Zaeed says hi."

"We be they soon Shepard" Ben sighs.

"I heard," Thane coming up from behind.

Ben jumped and shook his head. "Bloody hell Thane. No, you stay with your son. I handle this with Bailey" Bailey nods.

Thane nods back and starts to join his son back to C-sec.

Ben looks at Bailey. "No rest for the wicked Eh. Call in an armed unit, heavy mech mean heavy trouble."

Bailey smiles "Was doing that as soon as Shepard call came in. a shuttle will pick us up and we met them at the end of this junction." He pointed at the end of this lane.

Ben and Bailey started running up there. "You are coming too?" He asked Bailey.

Bailey nods "Mechs are not allowed here on the citadel. Part of my job, is to make sure it stays that way."

Ben grimaces "I assumed it because of the Geth attack that happened here a while ago."

"Yes. The council did not want to take any chances. Since then."

"Then let's go!"

10 minutes later Factory sector.

"God Dammit, where is that Kid?"

"He will be here soon Zaeed, just be patient. Garrus Overload on your left" Shepard chimes in while shooting the heavy mechs and ordering around.

"Yeah, well if it is not here soon. I am hunting him for the rest of my Turian days, "Garrus muttered.

"Hey guys" All three look at the nose. It was Ben in an open-door Shuttle, with a bunch of C-Sec officers. The C-sec arrived in bulk. There were at least Ten C-sec Shuttles that were here. Shepard could not help and cheered.

"This Is C-Sec. Blue suns put your weapon down, and surrender!"

"Hot Dam. The kid brought reinforcements." Zaeed said with a gruff Cheer.

"Great, looks like I'm getting an early reunion," Garrus said with a passive aggressive tone. Shepard frowned at his friend.

Back to Ben.

Bailey looks to Ben, sitting in the shuttle "I assume you got a plan. We got no way to land at the moment."

Ben smirks "Then I make one for you. Just get ready to make a perimeter" Ben leans against the edge.

"Wait kid you're not thinking" Bailey handed his hand out. fallings backwards, while holding the Omnitrix. A green flash appears.

Back to Shepard

"Is Ben doing what I think he is doing?" Shepard asks while still firing upon the mechs.

All Three hear "HUMANGASOUR!"

"Okay That answers my question. Who is telling Miranda?" Shepard asks his squad.

"Not it"x2 Both said instantly. They knew of Miranda rath when it came to Ben. especially when it comes to Rath.

Shepard swore "Shit." Garrus snorted. Zaeed ignored them and open fired on some Blue Sons

HUMANGASOUR crashes down on to the heavy mechs, leaving space for C-sec to land. They spread out to surround the blue sons. They do so to leave space for Shepard and crew to charge after Fade. HUMANGASOUR Grows from his original height of 30 ft to 60 ft to overcome the onslaught of missiles from the Heavy mechs and Rocket goons in the blue sons.

HUMANGASOUR is smashing and grabbing. Tossing and throwing each enemy on the wall, floor, and crates. The Heavy mechs are losing several mechanical body parts.

"Ben We are going after Harkin. Can you and C-sec keep the mechs and blue suns busy" Shepard shouted up to Ben.

"OH YES I CAN SHEPARD" And he does so smash every piece of mech and sun out there along with C-sec creating a perimeter to shoot down any reinforcement.

"Wait Harkin. I thought of you after Fade." Shepard, Zaeed, and Garrus turn to see Bailey coming up to them.

"Harkin is Fade. Fade is Harkin" Garrus puts out so they can quickly get him before he escapes. Bailey quickly put the pieces together.

"Fuck, hey wait up. Harkin not getting away with this!" Bailey followers after.

HUMANGASOUR was grinning like a mad loon fighting all these heavy mechs. He punted a heavy mech head clean off which caused a small, tiny, nuclear explosion.

15 minutes later after fighting all those mechs.

HUMANGASOUR was finishing off the last of the mechs squashing them like a football (The British Version and truer version). C-sec was arresting the Blue Suns that survived. Bailey was coming back and headed to HUMANGASOUR.

"Shepard got whatever intel he needed, and Harkin is put in cuffs" Bailey looked up at HUMANGASOUR shouting.

"GOOD, WHERE ARE THERE THEN!"

"They went to deal with a guy named Sidonis?"

A red flash appears HUMANGASOUR was no more.

"Then I guess, everything wraps up here." Ben stretches out his body.

Bailey nods "We caught Harkin and the blue sun leader that was working together. Now we are just filling out the rest. Also, the paperwork."

"Then I best get back to Thane then to the Normandy."

"I have an officer take you back to headquarters, I need to stay and write up reports and get statements. Oh, and that kid got community service by the way. Since he did not commit the act and Talid not pressing any charges. he got off with a light warning."

Ben nods and follows an officer to a spare shuttle taking him back to.

C-Sec office - Zekera wards sector.

"Thane"

Thane move his head to the sound "Ben, how did the rescue go with Shepard?"

Ben shakes his head in exasperation "Honestly any longer and they were done for. Well not completely, they held their own."

Thane nods "Me and my son talk. It will be a while before we fix things…. He knows I am dying now."

Ben simply nods "Just take it slow. If you need anything"

Thane smiles "Don't worry Benjamin, I think my soul can rest now helping fight those collectors."

Bens smiles back "come on. to the Normandy we go" They both walk back to the Normandy airlock

Back to Shepard. Zekera wards sector.

"Garrus…" Shepard called out.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"At some point you need to, you cannot let this weigh you down…. You did the right thing letting Sidonis go." He said worrying for his friend.

"But at the cost of my men and women!" Garrus shouted back. Garrus felt shaky so he grabbed on the railing on the side.

"Revenge is only one answer to many quests" Shepard responded. His voice stern but with a caring tone.

"What would you do in this situation?" Garrus asked. Knowing the answer.

"Probably the same as you…." Zaeed snorted in the background.

"But you just…."

"I know… That is why revenge is easy, and the easy answer is not always right…."

Garrus just stares at Shepard for a moment. His eyes were distant and strange. "I just want to get back everything he stole, the lives he took. All I see is black and white."

Shepard smiles at his friend. "Then maybe look at the grey. Not everything is as it seems."

Garrus snorts but his eyes light up. "It will be a long time before I can move on but… Thanks Shepard for being my friend."

Now Shepard snorts patting his friend on the back "Your best friend I might add."

Garrus chuckles

"God dam saps. I would have just shot him" Zaeed shouted for the Skycar.

"Way to ruin a moment, Zaeed." Shepherd rolled his eyes.

Zaeed smirks. Garrus just chuckles. Warmth filling up his chest.

"Come on, let us get back to Normandy. Also did you guys get Thane's new report? about Pesky dust."

"God damn right I did. Never going to let that kid live that one down. Pesky dust. Ha" Zaeed was laughing.

"You know it can bring out your worst nightmares and memories. Dam that be good for interrogations" Garrus muttered as he was just now reading the report. "The implications. Also, Tali is going to have a fit" Garrus finished now wondering if Tali is interrogating Ben now.

"Dam right she will Garrus." Shepard chuckled out heartily.

Back to Ben

"You okay Ben," Thane asked.

"Yeah, I think someone talking about me."

Illusive man office

The Illusive man was on a call with Miranda. They subject matter is something that Miranda quickly disagrees with.

"Sir with all due respect Benjamin is never going to join us. He only has been on the ship for a few weeks, but he got a grasp on everything pretty quickly. Including are organization. One he never agree with." Miranda shouted in the call.

"Even if we cannot. Is there a way to harness that power?" The Illusive man asks in his chair. Leaning forward looking at different possibilities.

"Not unless you want to die sir. The watch is keyed to Ben DNA, you cannot get one without the other" Miranda explained, huffing.

"Hmm, very well. Thank you for your report, Miranda" The call cuts and another call comes in.

"Sir we extracted the DNA samples and are ready to start the experiments" A Cerberus scientist calls in.

"Very good. You may begin. Start with Kai lang. Then we work on the three participants." The Illusive man ordered.

"Yes sir" The call was cut.

The illusive man pulls out his smoke. "You are becoming quite the problem for me Tennyson."
