The White Island was attacked by The Scarlet Monster. A four-person Team Crown had to fight it. They managed to temporarily drive out the opponent, but not without harm - the monster stung one of the teammates, Hagu the cat. The injury didn't seem serious at first. However, Hagu came down with a progressive disease. His friends could do nothing about it and as a result, the cat passed away.

The whole team felt distraught. They buried their friend under a field of daffodils, as he had wished. Suddenly, D-Key said:

- We are a whole only as a four. I'm leaving.

Bobeye and Rito were astounded.

- How could you do it to us NOW?! - the fennec bellowed.

But the ferret didn't answer and just walked away.

A wanderer from Mushroomland came across Hagu's burial site. This mutant called Repma had healing powers, but she couldn't bring him back. At least not in conventional way. She gave a blessing to the cat's remains and left.

A lot of time passed...

A banana tree grew out of Hagu's grave. It fruited and one of the bananas was enormously big. That one eventually fell and its peel broke apart. Inside, there was an unusual creature.

The figure looked like something between a bird and a cat. It had triangular ears, a beak and wings. It was Hagu - but in form of a phoelix. Thrilled by his resurrection, he started looking for his team.

He finally found Bobeye and Rito. They were overjoyed when they saw him. While hugging the two, Hagu felt that someone was missing. The foxes told him what happened to D-Key. Without a thought, the cat-phoenix hybrid decided to search for him, too.

And he succeeded. Hagu's return shocked the ferret, but after a moment, D-Key smiled gleefully. The quartet finally reunited.

It was all fun and games until Hagu was getting weirder and weirder. It wasn't about his looks; Bobeye, Rito and D-Key got used to that eventually. His personality also didn't change, but that was the problem. It had been a while since the cat's death and the trio moved on since then. They matured and gained more knowledge about the world. At the other side was Hagu, who seemed frozen in time. The friends started wondering if his coming back from the dead was a good thing. He couldn't adapt to the new reality...
