Beggin
Shortly after the two reunited, two individuals known for their fiery tempers began throwing punches and kicks as if their lives depended on it.
Truth be told, fights between players were a lesser-known method of earning extra chips to keep playing. In most games, players could use their own money directly, without exchanging it for chips. The chips were more of a last resort. Normally, a player could leave the casino once their gambling budget hit zero, but by using the contract they had signed, they gained access to a few alternative ways to obtain chips that could later be converted back into cash upon leaving the casino.
As the fight grew more intense, with the first drop of blood, Lara shouted, “Let the bets begin!” Blue and Red, those were the codes of the players who had now turned into heavyweight fighters. To the surprise of those watching, the two men were not strangers to this world. Blue, known by the name Devin, was a notorious instigator. He often caused trouble in casinos and bars, always leaving bloodied but with a look of deep satisfaction. Red, known as Trent, was just an ordinary man who made pocket money from street fights. He wasn’t particularly skilled, but with the help of objects around him, he managed to win most of the time.
The betting stopped, and so did the fight between Devin and Trent. Amazed and completely captivated by what he had just seen, Zeke forgot to place his own bet. At that moment, Lara decided to end the fight. No one truly understood why Lara was so involved in the casino, considering she was just a player, but given the kind of people who frequented the place, it wasn’t all that surprising.
Perhaps Zeke would become the first person to truly get to know Lara, and who knows, maybe this dynamic duo could one day turn into an unstoppable trio.
