--------------------
Find the Pinewing stolen by two
E- No.
This Pinewing is an heir, it’s true
The Tigerwing wanting to avenge
But watch out though, she seeks revenge.
M- NO.
The Spacewing who as an egg, wailed
The spiky horns and pale patterned scales.
J- NO.
The Willowwing and Nightwing hatch
In an arena battle, it’s first match
The Seawing hatched the same night too
The remains of the egg in the warmest blue.
Mudwing that hatched by dawn,
Who lived to the name of Fawn.
ALL- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The Sandwing hatched in Mudwing’s mud.
Dripped on by dragon blood
Then the Rainwing raised with seawing scales,
With the venom so painful and the sharpest of tails.
Then with all the power you made,
Go to the mountain of Jade,
To find the smartest Nightwing
The answers he will sing
To find the princess who lifts the curse
In the forest deep as the planet's earth.
J- We will push through, we will push through...
E- I... I thought we moved on...
Secrets.
The one thing Fullmoon has to keep.
Only Dusk heard of her secret. And they trusted each other to keep it. What was the secret, you ask?
Fullmoon was an animus.
That’s right.
M- Oh. Unlike the other Wings of Flame books, this one chops every single sentence into a separate paragraph.
The only Willowwing animus in dragon history.
“Fullmoon?” Asked Silverleaf. “Oh! Hi… just… thinking…” Fullmoon said hesitantly. “Make me feel like I’m not dying, please.” Fullmoon mumbled under her breath. Then, BOOM. Fullmoon flew to the front of the cluster.
E- Sorry, wait, I need a refresher, what happened in the last book?
They rested in the desert, and tried to make themselves cool down. “This is life. I could’ve been born in this.” Pebble sighed, burrowing into the sand. “IT’S SO HOT.” Tidepool groaned. “Let’s move somewhere else. It’s too hot here.” Sighed Phoenix. “No.” A muffled Pebble said in the sand burrow. “Yes.” Said Fawn. “No.” Pebble said again, digging down. Droplet spat some venom near Pebble, but not too close.
M- Considering the fact that this is deathly venom, I'm gonna say that's an overreaction.
“That could’ve been you.” Droplet sighed. “ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT.” Pebble scurried up the burrow.
“GUYS!” Shouted Nightbreaker from behind. “THERE IT IS!” “WOW!” Fullmoon gawked. Jade Mountain Academy was standing right before them. They arrived at the entrance of the school. Fullmoon could see Nightbreaker staring up in awe at the school. “SCHOOOOOOOOOOOL!” Nightbreaker darted in. “Let’s leave her here.”
J- I thought it was a "he".
E- Well, according to the rules of the Lexsi-Books, a main character MUST be female at all times.
J- Ohhh...
Pebble snorted. Fullmoon spotted a young Seawing dragonet with pale blue and pink scales.
G- Anemone!
“Excuse me?” Fullmoon asked. “AHH-oh, aren’t you a strange Nightwing.” Said the Seawing. Oh boy, I hate being called a Nightwing. Thought Fullmoon. “I’m a WILLOWING.” Fullmoon corrected. “Ah,” the Seawing said, “Who are you?” “Fullmoon the Willowing, and you?” “Anemone. I’m Queen Coral’s heir.” The Seawing said. “I’ve read about you, Anemone. Tsunami’s sister, right? I’m Phoenix the Tigerwing/Spacewing.” Phoenix said from behind. “Yes! I’m Tsunami’s sister!” Anemone smiled. “I’m Silverleaf, a Pinewing, that is Fawn, the Mudwing, that is Pebble, the Sandwing, that is Droplet, the Rainwing, and that one is Neptune, the Spacewing, and the Nightwing that dashed into her is Nightbreaker. We are the prophecy dragonets from the Flame Prophecy.”
M- (a la Silverleaf) "Just wanted to remind the audience at home about how many characters are in the story, thank you."
Silverleaf explained. “Fatespeaker told me about you guys! She’s with Starflight!” Anemone said, pointing her law to a nearby room. “Thanks!” The other dragonets ran off.
J- (a la any of the dragons) "We're celebrities, guys!"
“Starflight!” Fullmoon rushed into the room. “Huh? Who is that? Fatespeaker, who is that?” Starflight asked. Right. Blind. Fullmoon thought. “That’s the Flame Prophecy dragonets!” Fatespeaker smiled widely.
M- You've never met them.
“It’s said that you can tell us where Princess Dark Oak is.” Fullmoon said. “Yes, when did this happen?” Starflight asked. “The prophecy is dated back to 8 years ago.” Fullmoon said. “Oh! That! 8 years ago I received a note from Queen Deadwood.” Starflight said, doing his best to grab the note. “I got it, Starflight.” Fatespeaker said, taking out a dark brownish-purple piece of paper. It read:
Dearest Starflight,
The only dragon you can tell them about is my precious Dark Oak. She’s missing. Be a good dragon and tell the Flame Prophecy dragons where she is or if you have a clue.
E- We're really pressuring him into finishing this prophecy for these guys, are we?
Deadwood
“WHAT?” All the dragons asked in unison. “She was one of my students. A very bright Willowwing, Dark Oak was.” Starflight explained. “Alas, I don’t know what she looked like.” Starflight sighed. “She said: “For the prophecy”.”
G- For no reason at all? When?
Starflight said. Fullmoon didn’t want delays anymore. “STARFLIGHT!!!” She shouted, “SPEAK!”
ALL- WOOF!
“Ok, ok…” Starflight said, “She went home and that's the last time I saw her.” “What?” Asked Fullmoon. “No nothing?” “Yes, no nothing.” Starflight sighed. Fawn’s eyes began to twitch. “No… no no no!!! I told her-”
J- Line!
Fawn paused, and went out of the classroom. “Weird.” Snorted Hummingbird. “I’ll go comfort her.” Pebble sighed, and left the room. “Let’s uh…. Let’s talk about this.” Suggested Phoenix. “I’m going with Pebble.” Fullmoon said, and left the room as well. Whispers in Pebble and Fawn’s voices were echoing the halls. “They’re not gonna do it… I TOLD HER TO JUST-”
E- Alright, Captain Vague Woman, full power.
Fawn sobbed. “It’s ok, it’s not like anyone noticed. Phoenix found out that it was you, no biggie.” Pebble said. “SHE ALMOST KILLED ME! IMAGINE BEING KILLED BY A DRAGONET WHO DOESN’T KNOW THE TRUTH?” Fawn sobbed. Truth?
J- Truth?
M- Truth?
G- Truth?
E- Truth?
“I need to find a way to tell them.” Fawn sighed. “What if we just go up to her majesty and say: ‘Mission abort’?” Pebble asked. “SHE’D MAKE DUSK KILL US.” Shouted Fawn. “They’ll never know it…” Fawn sighed. “Know what?” Fullmoon finally asked. “Fullmoon! I-I don’t know!” Fawn stuttered. “TELL ME AND I’LL TELL YOU MY BIGGEST SECRET.” Snarled Fullmoon. “Like I’d want to.” Growled Fawn. “Make Fawn tell me.” Fullmoon mumbled.
J- Speeding through the suspense.
“Fine! I’ll tell you…”
M- The prophecy isn't real?
Fawn sighed, “The prophecy isn’t real.”
ALL- YAY!
“LIKE THE DRAGONET PROPHECY? THAT’S JUST SWELL!” Shouted Fullmoon.
M- See ya, suckers!
